I’m sure the ticket office will be able to find you another seat with no one immediately next to you. Give them a call.
I’ve had covid twice myself now and I did exactly the same as I worked with people who were vulnerable and or who had parents with bad health.
Well done for that as some people just do what they want instead of thinking of others.
Thanks all, i might just go and if she goes I’ll move tonthe back of the upper tier away from anyone!
Or just stand in whichever penalty area we are attacking ![]()
Spot on Thanny, don’t want us to go completely gung-ho at it but we should be more attacking in games, certainly at home and let teams worry about us.
No negative football again please.
Agree with that.
I was a bit down on our chances after last Saturday as Morecambe will be nowhere near this season and we weren’t better than them.
But Tuesday showed us that we have some really exciting options both in terms of personnel and formation.
With a dollop of hindsight, we lost last week because he attempted the tried and failed option of picking players outside of their natural position because there is a perception that they can “do a job”. If Foulkes had started right back, Comley in midfield and Mcentee at centre back (rather than the obviously not ready Williams) I think we’d have won that game. If we weren’t on top then introducing Tierney on the hour could have reversed that.
Today, I’d go for:-
Evans
Foulkes
Mcentee
Daniels
Hussey (or Farquerharson if available)
Gordon
Comley
Stirk
Hutchinson
Tierney
Johnson
Then plan B if we are behind on the hour in this order:-
Draper for Tierney or Hutch
Oteh for Gordon with Hussey moving to left back in a four
Maher for Tierney or Hutch.
Then Hail Mary time is DJT for Stirk.
Easy this ay it?
See you there!
Sorry to hear that mate, sounds like you have a fantastic network of family to help you get through it ![]()
On a bit of a lighter note, i remember dad asking me to take him to the hospital to get his results, because he had been bleeding a lot after going to the loo, he said that if the diagnosis was cancer, he needed me there for support.
So off we trot to the hospital in Tamworth, we are asked into the doctors room, and we sat down to hear the doctor say “sorry mr Brookes, but you have bowel cancer”
Well that was it, i ran crying from the room straight to the car
A few minutes later dad came out to me and said " well thanks for the support son it’s me that should be blarting not you" ![]()
I felt such a soft sod, but we actually stood there for a few minutes laughing ![]()
Needless to say he beat it (with our support
) and he has been clear for 10 years now, he said the other day, well they threw cancer at me, and now Dementia and Alzhiemer’s i think they are pretty determined to get me ![]()
Dont take him to the matches for god sake ![]()
Not going to see us today …but yh up an hour early to watch our women get into the semis …then watch us on I follow fold up stockpot at the bescot
cmon Walsall ![]()
Hopefully they will cook up a great game for us and the atmosphere will quickly come to a boil.
First game of the season for me, lucky boxers on standby
I have no beef with them but I hope we can win.
Hope we knock the stuffing out of um …
I like that line up PT and definitely the one I’d go with.
I’d definitely stick with Hussey, irrespective of whether Farquerharson was available, as I can see the shoots of a good partnership building with Gordon. Plus he has a decent delivery at set pieces.
Prediction: 4-0
We’re gonna make mincemeat of 'em today…
Can’t believe we’re paying $4 at home on the NZ tab to beat Stockport
Crazy price , i’ve even “lumped” on with a Toonie
We’ve got this
Nervous to see what we look like today. It would be a good win today but I’m looking to see a distinct improvement on last season’s dross today whatever the result
These were by far the best team to come to the Bescot and that includes Orient. We need to go toe to toe with them and let thrm worry about us. We need to believe in ourselves and play like we did at there place in the Fa cup. Especially after they equalised and we tore into them. Want Hutchinson to grab this game by the scruff of the neck because their midfield is definitely something
This has really surprised me, I tend to go to more away matches than home and can’t remember the last time I saw us win! Could be that I tend to pick the wrong matches!
17 wins away..wow I’m truly stunned.
Lets hope that above all we get entertained and indeed impressed with our new team, and that we go for attack rather than boring boring Flynn defence mantra. Most of us would rather see a 4-3 win than a boring 0-0 draw. Come on Sadler lets give some of the youngsters a chance, they proved useful at Blackburn.
I’m going for a 2-1 win, don’t let another money bags team spoil our day UTS!!
Most of us? OK, I can think of one troll on here that may prefer the latter ![]()
