Why bother coming on here then?
Doom toads gotta doom…
Can’t disagree with that mate.I just went for the fact that Flint bought calm to a really tough situation and every clearing header that I witnessed went to one of our players. We cleared balls last season and they went to the opposition a heck of a lot with us conceding on more than one occasion from it just like we did in the final. If we can keep Aden fit he’ll bring so much calm at the back.
Really enjoyed that. Kind of result we all needed after last season’s horrors.
What a vile little club Swindon are. When not jerking off over attendances their singing about the death of opposition players and lobbing chairs at them.
Fudge off back to your roundabout.
Had a look on their forum. TBF there’s no complaints about the result, didn’t think it was a penalty and unhappy with the chair chucking fan.
You absolutely have to give Sadler credit for that one. His subs changed the game for us. I thought Elvis was unreal and was surprised to see him taken off. Once he made those subs I thought we’d lose the game.
It absolutely worked. It’s one game I know - but credit where it’s due.
What a boring afternoon…NOT. Superb team performance with 10 men.On this showing those of you worried about our defence need worry no more. Flint immense guiding the youngsters around him., Lakin ratting around midfield and Pressley fighting on his own for about 50 minutes showing he can do a job for us. Wonderful goal by Weir and a composed finish by Barratt from good play by Clarke. A good gate too so I can have a really enjoyable evening.UTS…my team, my club!!!
Oh well that’s 3 games he can’t be picked
So are there fans to be fair on there forum
Let’s hope we appeal it and it gets extended due to a frivolous appeal.
I think it is only one for denying a goal scoring opportunity. Until then he was playing well but Warrington did ok in the role too.
Can you get a 45 game ban for been pants
Here
That offside at the end was lovely!
Superb 2nd goal, great play between the pair of them
What a result! Pure grit and determination.
Personally I needed that after last season’s collapse. Wasn’t feeling it before the game but the bug is definitely well and truly back. UTS!
Lovely afternoon almost spoiled by the pants ref. Loving the look of the new boys, say what you like about Saddler but he knows how to recruit. Be nice to see another striker and a back up for Warrington cos Comley isnt up to the task and we know all to well what happens ehen they all get knackered.
THE best opening game I can ever remember. The closest I can remember to that game was when we beat Plymouth 2-1 in the opening game of 2018/19 (the season we got relegated!). We showed so much bottle: the complete opposite of what happened from February to April last season. No team with Aden Flint in it is going to bottle it!
So many great performances today, but Flint, Rico, Hancock and Barrett were immense. Lakin was brilliant in midfield and Elvis was a menace up front. But a special mention to Evan Weir: what a goal and a solid performance in defence - who needs Taylor Allen! I also felt the defence was more secure with Roberts in goal than Simkin. And finally: well done to Mat Sadler for getting everything right today - I definitely think he’s learned from last season. At this rate, we’ll be 15 points clear by January!!
He put in an immense performance following the tactical substitution of Stuttle but I think it had almost become pointless him being on the field as he was so isolated. Having more running from the middle of the park seemed to work for us even though we didn’t have an outlet up front.
