W 2-1 vs Swindon Town (H) - Sat 2nd Aug, 3.00pm (League Two)

Yeah, he was excellent. Hope he doesn’t get wasted at rwb.

As has already been stated, you have emotional issues. Oh, and hurry up with that list…:joy:

Much more pace and energy in this team compared to the back end of last season.
Stuttle and Pressley look like they’re going to be a great partnership up top.
Positive signs all round. UTS

What a tremendous performance and result that was

Brilliant first goal, really good ‘backs to the wall’ defensive job at times and a truly terrible ref

I’d have been happy with a point but what a way to win a game…

Really like the look of the new guys and Clarke particularly looked superb. Hancock had a really good start and Flint was, well, what he is - a man mountain. Really like the look of Robert’s in the sticks too - very composed and vocal…. Not a bad performance anywhere today

It’ll take a while for me to forgive MS for the latter part of last season but we have to move on I guess - just wanna say though that he made the right subs at the right time today (imo..)

Sadler would never have made those substitutions last season.

Maybe he’s learning after all.

Massive grit. The ref was appalling.

Flint was great. Leader.
Larkin tireless.
Barrett back to his best.
Keeper looks great.
Pressley looked decent but hard to judge after the red.
Jellis looked better again.

Swindon looked poor.

Massive effort to win that with the ref so, so poor.

Absolute limbs in the stand when the winner went in. Loved it.

Considering we were down to 10 men for most of the game I thought we did very well for the victory.
Good games from Pressley, Barrett and Cox, Flint was excellent at the back, he kept Kept Smith at bay which is no easy task. The entire back line did their jobs very well.
I wish we had kept the ball a little more, but going down to 10 men that was always going to be difficult.
Pleased with the three points, can we play better? Of course, I think that will be evident as the season progresses.

Are the goals online anywhere?

Just seen a replay of the pen decision - no way on this earth was that a penalty. Disgraceful refereeing but consistent with the rest of his day :poop:

Very good win against the odds.

Defensively colossal, a real shift put in.

Offensively, hard to tell given the sending off, but the 2nd goal, superb.

Swindon, woeful.

Taking my lad to his first gig now with a spring in our step, so we’ll enjoy an opening day win.

Does it mean Sadler out, no, does it mean Sadler is suddenly a genius, no, it’s one game out of 46.

It’s games like that, that can start chipping away a bit at last season’s horrendous hangover. Organised, fight and the beginning of some solid team spirit forming.

That will have been an excellent result to help foster the teams spirit.

Fantastic start, onwards.

And Swindon? Bunch of wank pots.

I loved today. Thoroughly entertaining game for good and bad reasons. Ref was a bit arbitrary but probably right to send off Comley.

Loved the goal at the end. Loved the way we showed some grit and defended like our lives depended on it. We missed that last season. Flint my man of the match. Not just his performance but he marshalled the rear guard all game. UTS.

Didn’t get a season ticket but went today

Got to say I just can’t watch the guff standard anymore

Lost interest

Enjoy the season

Also what looked to me to be a deliberate elbow to the face against Hollman as soon as he came on.

Defended superbly today as a team, flint continually organising the defence and for me showing that experience we have been missing, backs to the wall in a game spoilt by the referee but very proud of those lads today!! Shout out to Rico Browne on his full EFL debut and Evan Weir take a bow with that free kick. UTS :red_circle::white_circle::black_circle:

I think he’s trying to demonstrate what goading is Sid .:joy::joy:

Always good to win against the ‘media tart’ Holloway, his gobs much bigger than his managerial talent. Have that up yer arse Ian.
