W 3-0 vs Eastleigh (A) – Sun 2nd Nov, 2.15pm (FA Cup R1)

Driving home from Andover, to get the mrs home, so that I can drive down to Eastleigh on Sunday.

Why didn’t you tell her to get the train, stay down there and go on the lash :zany_face:

I was in Reading for work til Wednesday, and as we used to live there the mrs decided she’d come down with me to see a few of her mates. It then transpired that "as we were there " we could “pop over to Andover” to see see another mate, the excuse being that this lady is also the accountant. Turns out that this has been arranged as a Friday night out in Andover, even though I was originally going to go back Wednesday/ Thursday. Then after this had been arranged we got Eastleigh in the cup, and after all I needed to get back down to Reading/ London for 3 days next week. Plus myself and Dornansog are now going out on the town in Eastleigh on Sunday, with a mate who now lives in Hayling Island and we haven’t seen him for about 3 years.
Basically it just got somewhat complicated, once the married politics were activated. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Worked out well, I can have a huge bonfire at the end of my garden. Cut down some trees, get rid of 5 massive tree stumps and hopefully incinerate any rare plants, newts, bats, squirrels or hedgehogs living there so that when I apply for planning permission those time wasting idiots from Natural England will just find a sterile wasteland for a new refugee reception centre

Been working in Germany and Belgium this week. My colleague has just dropped me off at Orly airport, Paris for a flight this afternoon to Southampton and overnight stay, ready for the match tomorrow.
Mates are coming down for the game, so I’ve got a lift back to home, before an early flight from Birmingham back to Paris on Monday morning for another week, working away from home.

I can’t see us losing this one, the way we play. 2-0, both goals in the 2nd half.

Somewhat shocked verging on agog we’ve fallen some way short of taking our full allocation of away spectators.

I am not. This great competition has lost its appeal to many. The KO is at a daft time and it is on terrestrial TV. I admire those who are going and I hope they see a good display and a win.

To be honest I can’t be bothered with a 6 hour round trip in inclement weather on Sunday. Easier to be cracking open a beer and turn the central heating up at home and watch it on the Beeb.

Goal for County against Brackley. Jatta a quality player at League 2 level, would like to see our strikers showing the endeavour to get on the end of things the way he does.

are there any tickets left? maybe pay on the day? it’s gone off the website

I think the main problem is it being on a Sunday.

If it was on at 2:15pm on a Saturday and on TV, I reckon it would have got a lot more travelling.

Poxy work for me tomorrow (and tonight) means I can’t go.

Having to work extra as the locals in Stoke like to brick and firework public buildings so that the Police come out for a fight.

Brackley are a tidy side. The gap isn’t large. A warning for us tomorrow.

Without a doubt! I hope our players are watching this tonight

I was nervous about this one fearing we’d end up with penalties.
But as it’s only 11 hours til I set off a good feeling is setting in, I reckon we’ll have a “not like us” 4 or 5-1 goal fest with possibly Pressley and Kanu getting 2 each and then if we get to 5 Albert with a late cameo goal. :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:

Having just watched in-form Notts Co. lose to Brackley, we will need to be playing our best X1 and carry no passengers else it will be 6 games without a win.

Barrett, Clarke, Comley, Lakin, Harper

Pressley, Kanu

9 subs allowed, so everyone else who’s fit will be on the bench
