In a 4 he’ll have help from both sides whereas in a three he was exposed down the sides.
In a 4 he’ll have two players holding in front of him and two players on the flanks rather than one holding and one on ones out wide.

It’s got to be the absolute priority, if we go down in the first 15 or 20 today I really fear for us. That and keeping 11 men on the pitch for the entire game are blocks to build on.
He’s had good moments yes, but I think his goal contributions mask the fact a lot of the games seems to completely pass him by in my opinion. Obviously don’t turn my nose up at the goals, but I think his overall play as a midfielder leaves a fair bit to be desired. I’m not sold on Stirk either.
