W 3-1 vs Tranmere Rovers (A) - League Two - Sat 6th April, 3pm

Apparently, the best thing to come out of Cannock isn’t the A34 anymore. Taylor Allen.

Superb win, keep fighting lads, we can do this.

Imagine how good we could be if we had a striker alongside Matt!

Probably it depends who makes stats. I’ve seen sometimes, where it is treated as shots on target. It was very close to scoring.

Unless you still believe in santa, who’d have thought at xmas that would be in with a shout of the playoffs now? Well done Sadler

Will the usual Hutchinson histrionics be seen following a win?

Great result and go into Tuesday with a little bit of steam but less than Donny

An excellent result.
Although they had more possession than we did, I thought after the great Comley strike we managed the game beautifully. Yes, they hit the woodwork three times, but the woodwork doesn’t score goals, apart from that we defended very well in difficult conditions for both sides.
We can’t worry what other clubs are doing, hopefully the one’s immediately above us slip up. Tuesday night is a big one as Doncaster are in good form and we will have done well to get anything there. Then three homes games in a row will define our season.
I feel we will have to win out to stand a chance of the play offs.

The 3 home games on the bounce are critical, win them and it’s game on.

Brilliant game given the conditions. Over the 90, we were the better team but we had that bad spell after their goal. The injury to Smith enabled the players and the coaches to sort it out and from then on we looked good.

Everyone played decently today. Josh Gordon, despite many of the comments above, had a good game, as did his namesake. Matt was immense and his header was superb for the goal from a good cross by Foulkes, who looked much more comfortable than on Monday…

I did not think Allen’s goal was entirely a fluke. The point about sending in a free-kick like that is that the keeper does not know what to do. I’ve seen lots of goals like that over the years. The defenders miss the ball and it creeps in. Comley’s was superb and capped another good game from him - it was just after he picked up the captain’s armband so we had two captains score.

Finally, haven’t we learned yet that the way we are playing means that goals come from all over the pitch? Was Comley the 23rd scorer this season. Of all the players in the squad today, only the two keepers have not scored.

Happy for Taylor Allan, considered by many as a wasted wage when he resigned. Hes young, still lot to improve, and considering he arrived initially as a lwb, left mid, hes been amazing at centre. So hats off to him

Having a defender with his footballing quality is a real plus. And he seems to enjoy playing too.

What a crazy run in. And to think if we’d won just 2 more games this season we would be sniffing around automatic!

What a tight division.

That is a massive win today. Sounded like a great 2nd half performance. Rode our luck a bit in the first half, but that is what you need to do if we are going to be successful. So pleased for TA, and great that Brandon finally got a goal to go with his hard work.
