I’d argue exactly the opposite, it’s the dirty work Cumley does that brings the best out of the players in front of him who can be more advanced and take risks. He has been outstanding tonight.
Good half of football, we attacked and defended well and certainly didn’t disgrace ourselves.
Knowles was unlucky with the penalty, but it was definitely hand ball and the right call by the referee.
Draper worked his socks off during the half, he was all over the place. A lovely back heel in the box for a nice, composed finish by Jack to open the scoring.
More of the same for the 2nd half please, if we can keep Mullen quite we have a chance.
Pretty much the same point really, compliments each other.
I meant in terms of he is playing better himself due to the midfield make-up being different, and he isn’t as good or necessary when McEntee and Stirk are ahead of him in comparison.
