W 4-1 vs Sheppey United (A) - FA Cup First Round - Fri 3rd Nov, 7:45pm

They’ll be hoping for no injuries before then, their squad’s paper thin.

Not sure whether it’s pulp fiction, but apparently Charlton have made an ecological decision to travel to the Mills by Paper Plane to maintain the Status Quo over emissions, thus being a Boon to their credentials.

I had a letter once from an origami class. I didn’t know what to make of it

You just outted yourself as Crod?:joy:

Hope the replay is decisive. Don’t want penalties after a carbon copy of the first match.

You’d have thought Charlton would have torn them to shreds or beaten them to a pulp with the gulf in quality.

Back to Friday, I’ve only just got over the travel with me having work Saturday as well :joy:

A good professional performance, did what we needed to. DJT, definitely not good enough as a striker, and when he does play it should be as a winger.

Personally felt it was a piss-take putting DJ on at 90 minutes - pretty much confirms there is an issue there IMO.

Burger was the best burger I’ve ever had anywhere. Would go back just for them.

First time meeting @AndyWTaylor also - good to put a face to the name, sure I’ll see you soon!

Great video interview excerpt up with DJT, saying how he lives in the same house as DD and that the latter effectively mentors him and keeps pushing him to do better. What a great situation. If the lad is going to make it, he could have no better role model and, also, how important that the club should have such a respected, senior player able to offer such a close insight into the character of a young player.

For all of the negative comments, in retrospect, he scored one, he made another, he was very unlucky on two or three occasions, and could have done better on several more. As someone mentioned much further up, if he wasn’t in the right positions to attempt to score, that would be far more worrying. The kid has something, it’s just whether it’s enough and whether we can coax it out of him and he can offer the necessary commitment - the fact he has such a close relationship with DD gives him the best chance for that.

I would rather play blues :joy:

I did get my wish :+1::grinning: and hopefully this time many of my fellow supporters won’t miss out as was the case against Sheppey.

Spent most of my time on Friday night having a ding dong with Manc over immigrants etc.
From what I did see the performance was professional, DJT will never make it as an EFL player despite a great effort to look better than he is. Riley should be binned until a) he is fully fit, always running in Stevens’ treacle, or b) he leaves by mutual consent.
Now we all know that we missed nothing last season when he was out injured for the entire season.
Sheppey’s goal was great.
Should have scored more than we did, great performance from their goalie, kept the score down, which is more than Flynn’s Swindon managed! haha isn’t Flynn a great Manager/motivator, they should extend his contract…tee he.
Looks as if we will lose DJ in January, would any of us in his situation do any different? being treated appallingly by Sadler. I know ‘give it a rest’…
Onward and upwards to Alfreton…
