Perhaps they could vary the music to make it topical.
For example, going back a bit, they could have played Walk Away Renee just before Gilmartin left.

Stone Broken are great Walsall band. There are parts of their music that would sound great as a walk-on.
Perhaps a remix?
I thought that 3 or 4 years ago, wondered whether I should suggest it to the Club, get them to invite the band along, have one of their songs played as the teams walk out, try and build an identity, some local pride, but then I thought, no, what’s the point, nobody at the club would give a f**k.
I was thinking “Not Your Enemy” would work, but other songs would be good as well.
Fair enough if they’re local and that’s the reasoning but we may as well just play Nickelback (and then I’d be depressed before the game rather than just after).
Are Quill still going? Used to see them at the Three Crowns. May be we could wheel them out. Must be in their 70s now??? Good nights though.
Quill are playing The Robin next Sunday. They have added Bev Bevan to the line-up in recent years which has taken something away from the band I think, I wish they would give him the elbow.
Those were some of the best nights out watching them back in the 80s.
Yes, I think it was 1978 or 1979 when I first saw them. Quill, Little Acre, Jameson Raid, Quartz were local bands who were always good to see.
I used to watch Quill there in the 90’s. Didn’t they split and some if the band reform as Q2?
Not sure. Marriage put a stop to my nights out a long time ago

My old mate got me an audition with them back in the 80’s and i was too scared to go
How very spineless!
Took me a while to work that out

I was hoping that you would get it rather than feeling insulted.
Ye but either way it is true
, i suffered from terrible stage fright in my teens, if it was now i wouldn’t give a flying F**K
But nobody in their right mind would give you an audition now …

Well, what a steaming pile of cack to choose from. Really, WFC couldn’t have come up with such formulaic blandness if they tried (what! they tried??..)
My choice would be an edited version of this monster choon:
I think most tracks on that album are better than those on the list
