It is against kids and I know it’s a ■■■■ cup but it’s got to help towards the feeling in the camp and builds confidence for the next game I’m certainly not getting carried away but this really can’t do any harm can it

This will be great for Gordon’s confidence. Let’s not pretend it’s FGR first eleven though, the players will also be aware of it so I hope I don’t hear any stupid shouts of “how can they beat Forest Green then lose to Cambridge” on Saturday.
After beating Southampton U21 we lost six on the spin so let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

To be fair, I do see the logic in that. If there is a chance to give the forwards a golden opportunity to score a goal or two in a live match then it may just help establish a little belief in those individuals.
Not much chance of that with DC in charge, I’m sure he’ll “bring them back down to earth” straight after the final whistle.

A very good mate of mine (used to be a ST holder with me and family etc) has passed away today so I’ve not been paying much attention tonight - looks like they’ll finally put in a decent performance for him…
