Well, The boss will use the trip for team bonding and look to arrange a behind-closed-doors fixture with a Polish I Liga side as part of our preparations.
Polish I Liga is equivalent of English Championship, but with much less money and sport level. Still, it should be good experience. And of course how do you understand term Polish I Liga side. I can guess, bigger airport has to be nearby. So Warsaw, Gdańsk, Wrocław or Kraków. I doubt club will rent a plane, so regular lines flight.
Edit: I’ve checked flights from Birmingham, so Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz, Warsaw, Katowice and Wrocław are possible destinations.
Even though it states it’s a behind closed door friendly, I’m sure if you got in touch with the club and explained your affinity for the Saddlers they will accommodate you.

Perhaps Michal could try the “Gary Newbon trick”.
I was watching the “When English football ruled Europe” two-part tv programme on ITV last night and was amused by the fact Gary Newbon wanted to interview Villa players straight after the 1982 European Cup Final. UEFA said he and other journalists had to wait 45 mins. To circumvent this, he then passed himself off as the “kit man”, with the Villa Manager’s approval, and sat on the bench for the game!!

Wonder why we’ve never set up a friendly with a Warszawa team, be a good PR stunt, and I reckon a fair few would go over for it.

The problem could be, there are no suitable opponents. Legia? Far too big to play with smaller English club. Polonia? Recently fourth league I think, they were big, but failed dramatically (mismanage a lot of things). Other clubs from Warsaw? Fifth, sixth level or below. So hard to call it a true friendly. I think sooner Upper Silesia, than Warsaw. But of course I can be mistaken.
I’ve heard that they tried to arrange a friendly with the staff at Iceland but the board were given the cold shoulder…
