Donervan and Priestley should almost certainly be on there way I’d be looking at Sam Stubbs released by Bradford.
He’s been on loan at Cheltenham all season there fans love him and he’s always impressed me whenever I’ve seen him against us only thing I’m not sure of is his age?
Like I said, just a donkey. No redeeming features.
(Although I still have nightmares about the time Tom Pope left him for dead!)
Do we have a one year option in Jamie Jellis’ contract?
Express and Star is implying we don’t.
We do
Swiftly would be top of my keep list, never put a foot wrong and the fans love him, as for the rest of bottlers nah.
Tbf swifty bottled it after he picked up the mouse get rid too
Dave what a great ball playing Centre half defence splitting passes ffs, can’t make a 5 yard pass, heart in ya mouth challenges near ya own box, inexperienced ?, ain’t he been playing since he was a kid, how about having a football brain by now and shouldn’t need showing how to pass a ball ffs good player WOW
Some of you lot are gonna tell me next that Levi’s got a great touch and he’ll be the next Kane and that Bromley didn’t know what they had, level 6 at best
Dave should be a sub in a team looking for promotion. Very limited. Comley and Amantchi should not even be in the 18.
Wouldn’t touch him with someone else bargepole. Skip got his assesment of him when he was interim boss. Not impressed by all accounts and made that statement live on WM. What an excellent judge, Skip.
I’m not having it with Dave. He lacks the basic fundamentals of a decent league 2 footballer. Absolute gash. He’s just another braindead athlete
Fully agree, and I’ve been saying this for the past few seasons. I’d rather us have 4 forwards next season than 5 for example. The amount we can then offer means we should in theory be shopping for slightly better strikers rather than having al bases covered with 5 but the quality diluted. Matt and DJ will be on fair whacks so if we release both of them then there’s a decent chunk of wages to invest. Having a few players with versatility will also help cover several positions and then signing players with good fitness records who are likely to be available for the vast majority of the season (so it’s farewell Earring, McEntee, Captain Fantastic, The Priest with much regret).
I don’t think anyone could go that far mate!
That said and more seriously (and not wishing to rub some folk up the wrong way) - I’m angry as hell about the no-show at Wembley and will
Take a while to get over it but I’ve never seen so much rubbish on here as I’ve seen since Monday..
The hatred and vitriol being thrown at Trivela and NoFo seems totally unjustified because this seasons collapse was due to a footballing management issue as we all know..
Yes, the comments made by NoFo seem a bit lacking in understanding of the culture and passion of the British football fan but was it intended to aggravate or ridicule the fan base? Of course not - they simply don’t have the historic and emotional connection to the club that’s held in our own hearts (even if they think that a few years involvement entitles them to think so..)
What we don’t want to do is drive a wedge between the ownership and the fan base - our options at WFC in terms of investment and ownership need to be optimistic and forward thinking and in broad terms we seem to have that with Trivela - have they done everything right? Of course not but it’s not an add water for immediate success approach we are dealing with is it..
I know I’m gonna get pelters from some on here for my thoughts but I really don’t know if I like the thought of different (unknown) owners at this stage….
All that said, Pomlett must leave the club - he isn’t (in my view) representative of WFC and is somewhat out of touch with modern footballing ownership..
I’ve probably posted this is the wrong thread but what instigated it was the comment about who we should keep (my point at the end being about Pomlett etc!)
Some are gonna be really happy as Sadler as identified 3 strikers he’s been chasing and admiring from afar in Lassie, Toto and Scooby Doo as he’s seen how well they chase and retrieve a ball
Neutered at birth hopefully
I’m not going to give you pelters, it’s an opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.
On this point, what I would say is that they aren’t stupid, they are multi-millionaires and marketeers of their brewery and product. Branding, words, messaging, meaning should be bread and butter to them. If they did the same in their business world it is the quickest way to seriously impact your bottom line, so it showed some serious naivety on their part as “investors” is what I would say.
What hatred and vitriol? I haven’t seen anything beyond the line. Patronise people they normally bite back.
It’s not a realistic out come though. They are tied to the club one way or another for the next 20 years at least. That doesn’t make them and the things they say beyond question.
Sounds like mcentee is signing for hearts imminently
Ryan Stirk - Release

Oisin McEntee - leaving for Hearts
Jamie Jellis - will leave

Nothing to do with the fact we didn’t try to properly replace Lowe? Or the fact they refused to put a bit extra towards getting Draper in, while also buying other football clubs?
Off the pitch I really like what Trivela have done. On it they have failed us.
