I got free ticket from a football thing I’d been doing after school to watch us lose 1-0 at Fellows Park in the rain as we were rock bottom of D3.

After that afternoon my dad who’d followed WBA home and away up until that afternoon took us to the rest of the games at Fellows Park and then we had Season Tickets at Bescot.

No idea why I was never taken up the Albion.

Remember Mark Rees doing that on more than one occasion!

Sometimes he’d be by The Fullbrook before he realised he’d run the ball out of play.

Was the hero the night we beat Rotherham in the League Cup QF though

I’ve shown this one as well to my Southern friends and colleagues

He beat them on his own that night. On a skating ring of a pitch

The terrace wasn’t much better, i seem to remember spending most of the match on my arse :joy: mind you it could have had something to do with me drinking a bottle of Quantro after having 2 wisdom teeth out and trying to numb the pain :joy:

I also remember some bastard on the coach giving me a warm bottle of wine to drink, well it looked like wine :joy:

The old warm tizer mate. , many a bottle been discarded from the rear emergency window. on the Dawson’s. Coaches , As if it had stopped for a comfort break highly likely. It would never start again

Have I dreamt it but wasn’t Hilton Park Services once called North Birmingham Services?
