Working party minuites

Note for info to all

todays working party meeting has took place. With myself and Bob Thomas representing Issa and the trust respectively
Steph gamble and SLO represented wfc

The following questions where put. to those present on behalf of club from myself I. In respect of the fanbase in general

club via slo did report that they have been working. With a lifelong fan. Some guy called Darren ( did not catch surname. ). From the fan experience company. And they are working on improving. the match-day experience. But you will see more about this in the published minuites

1 two weeks ago chairman said that promotion was still the aim.
Do board members present today still believe this possible

2 chairman stated after Brian Dutton’s sacking. That 19 th
Posistion in table was. No way acceptable and that’s why he acted
Seeing we are now 21 st in same said division why is Matt Taylor being allowed to carry on given the situation is far worse than he said was previously unacceptable. And after giving re assurances we would not see it happen again. But yet we are. Here again

  1. Given the managers recent statement that we are not in a relegation battle. Do the board of directors agree with him or do they accept we are very much in a relegation battle

  2. Chairman said in his recent program notes that a certain. Element of the fan base needed calling out
On reflection is he prepared to retract said statement. Given that those he is calling out most likely. Left there money in during. The covid lockdown situation
Is he prepared to put out an apology and make redactments to his statement in this Saturdays program

  3. If the unthinkable happened could the club meet there requirements of the rental agreement in place
Given the very small opperating profits announced as an established professional club Would these dramatically reduce as a non league outfit
If club went non league would leaving bescot become a viable option for the club

6 why was an injured player brought to the club ?
Did club know extent of injury .?
If club new was it reflected in the price paid to the selling club ?

7 has the board of directors. Spoke of or. Implemented a contingency plan should we be relegated

8 why will club not facilitate an open meeting. With just chairman and. Dof. So they can put across valid points of concern. At what they are witnessing on the pitch and recruitment wise

  1. When will the chairman’s revised post covid 5 year plan finally be made public
And will himself and his fellow directors be held accountable. If said plan fails. As it has done during his first two years have Albeit covid could not have been foreseen

10 if in the meantime. an offer. Came in that was from a genuine fit and proper person would the chairman let club go for what he paid for it. Or will he want a return on the investment

  1. Whatever division we find ourselves in next season. Will there be a reduction in season tickets and matchday admission prices as a reward for the loyalty of those who have stuck by the club despite. Four woefull seasons of football being served up and what is likely to be a fourth consecutive season in a woeful basement division

Do they accept that the fan base is the biggest stakeholder in Walsall fc. With many putting in far more financially and certainly emotionally than most who sit on the board , fans may not. Put. in huge lump sums in one go. but. Over many years are indeed the biggest and longest serving stakeholder in our club who have invested as much if not more than some / most. on the board

  1. Will the questions that have been unable to be answered today be relayed and answered via a chairman’s. Video update

  2. A video has been sent to club showing toilet floor in the middle tier with urine running out onto the concourse
This is not acceptable on any level and fans are paying good money but not receiving even the basic. Facilities required

The trust also put questions. And minuites where asked. To be circulated by end of tomorrow. To be agreed

Meeting ended a bit abruptly tho as club had not booked a long enough time slot. On zoom.

I hope you all understand that I can’t give you. The answers given to question as it only fair. To see the minutes first.

Also I apologise in advance if anyone has been trying to put a question they wanted asking, It’s not me being ignorant in not replying.

But have had problems with the uts site. It won’t let me read or comment. On threads and only. Shows a few comments then screen goes blank .

Again another set of fantastic questions and we are now getting into the nitty gritty as regards this clubs demise, just as we all thought a bottoming out of 19th last season had happened here we are even lower down and someone needs to be held accountable because it’s not the fans fault one bit.The fans have been exemplary both in leaving money in and spending even more on travelling around the country, to say a bad word about them is poor, misjudged and completely unprofessional I’d spend less time moaning about my customers and more time putting this sorry mess right is my advice to Leigh.

Apparently he did a walkabout on sat rob with slo. Gauging fans opinions.
Club saying a press release will be made soon. , let’s hope club act on his recommendations mate.

He’s done some great work at clubs in Denmark, I know the types of thing he would be recommending but let’s see what the club say and do.

They’ll try to redact the minutes from the walk about to read ‘They are all doing a wonderful job’, young Mr Grace style.

The club didn’t book a long enough slot on zoom - - nothing sums the club up and the clowns they have in charge like this sort of thing. Amateur hour (or 45 mins)

Are these meetings not happening in person now?
Or has it been decided to carry on Zooming going forwards?

I can foresee them getting asked an awkward question in future and the questioner being booted Jackie Weaver style.

“You have no authority here, Dan Mole!!”

If you only use free Zoom and don’t buy a subscription then Zoom software cuts you off after 45 minutes or so.

I haven’t had to use Zoom, but can’t you simply reconnect and get another 45 free minutes?

Yes usually, and the club know this as they’ve done it in the past when I used to attend

Zoom ran out of time :joy:

I wasn’t actually having a dig, just observing the limits of free Zoo… Not sure the club need a subscription for it at all.

Great questions pal, I’ll look forward to clubs response.
I’m also having trouble with the forum and can’t read three quarters of what’s wrote, it lets me read the first dozen or so replies on each topic then I get a blank page, I’ve tried logging in and out, clearing the history etc but to no avail

The point about the site is the same one I am making.Looks like the problem is not just with me!

Walked into the Fan Zone on Saturday. About 8 adults in there with their kids. Checked the Kiddy score and left :man_shrugging:

I have even changed my browser but to no avail. Looks like more folk being affected. Needs to be sorted.
