If ST Holders don’t take them, simply got to get in early like the rest of us

Alternatively, book a nice weekend in York when they are playing someone else at home and go in the home end

872 is a crap allocation

Fully expect ST holders and members to get these tickets first which is only fair . And a lot of those will be disappointed in not getting one .

Agree. Fortunately, living in Yorkshire and planning to go with 2 York and 2 Huddersfield fans I’ve been able to get tickets in the home end. Plus train from Hudds getting to York just before noon, so plenty of time to sample the hostelries of York before the match. Can’t wait.

Dunno why you wouldn’t. Probably my favourite place on this little island. Wonderful part of the planet.

Weve booked a weekend in Knaresborough as a base without even thinking we might not be able to get tickets. Fooking great. Shopping it is then.

I think for games where the allocation is capped, the club need to put more restrictions on who can buy them first.

Can see a few missing out.

What do you suggest? Seems fair ST holders get first dibs

Season ticket holders with away booking history?

I emailed the Club on behalf of ISSA regarding this, after the Chesterfield away play off game, saying that stricter criteria was needed in high demand games with low allocations. For example season ticket holders with a certain amount of away games.

They responded saying they would take it on board, but it doesn’t appear that they have.

Bit of a low allocation, not even 1k? Does the ground only hold 5k?

As King Crod would say this will fly like hotcakes being a new ground and obviously great city to spend a Saturday in for the run up to Xmas.

Looking on their website it appears they gave both Oldham and Hartlepool 1,400 tickets in their games last season.

York City 2024/25 Home and Away Attendance Figures - York City FC

Is there some work going on at the stadium reducing the attendance?

Hoping they do make it to members.. now Harrogate have gone this is my local game. If not I’ll probably have to try the home end too.

Got our first kid on the way in December, this is likely to be the only game I get to this season, at least until spring. Rotherham away a week before due date I’m guessing I won’t be allowed out to :joy:

What a complete pee take.:joy: Can understand it at a Bromley as they had a non league ground they were extending so would be limited away following in that scenario.

Reminds me of the tricks Chesterfield pull most seasons regarding away allocations and ability to get tickets on the day. Then you watch their highlights and there are rows of empty blue seats behind one of the goals.

York are revitalised and started back in the league really well but I’d be amazed if they have 7k turning up every single week.

Actually seems they did have 8k in for Vale so looks like another resurgence after spell in normal league, Vale following listed as 888.

Is it maybe explained by the fact they secured promotion, increased their home attendances and STH base so reduced the away offering?

Or they could well be having work done :man_shrugging:t2::wink:

York City average attendance reaches 8,272 this season | York Press

Looking at individual games it seems most away teams have been given about 880 tickets this season.

Appreciate that.

It does seem the most logical thing to do, even just the first 24/48 hours for those with away booking history as i feel they’re the ones who should get most priority.
