2023/4 Kits

Same plain red. Massive logo. Round collar. So similar. If you want to make alot of money you need to change the design significantly every season. Have a look at the Bonser era ones. They are so different every season

It’s clearly two shades of red :man_shrugging:

It might be but doubt it will be a big seller. If you want to sell big then change it substantially. Red with white splashes. White with red splashes. Stripes. Hoops. So many options out there.

Well I’m shocked that you don’t like something the club has done

ā€œSubstantialā€ changes from 20 years of your pal Jeff being in charge.

Embarrassing isn’t it. Never thought I’d see someone so brainwashed by Bonser, but here we are!

I take it you’re the websites jester then?

You need to take it back to 90 91 up to 2000. The kits were massively different each season then

I think we hit a real low point with the kits in the late 80s/early 90s, in 89-90, 90-91, 92-93, 93-94 and the one I disliked the most despite winning promotion in it, the 94-95 one. The kit in 91-92 was OK, somehow.

I would like a return to that from 65 to 77 but not with the white shorts of 68-70, but the red shorts, which is surely as God intended.

Didn’t you say the other day that the rent payments were worth it because of commercial acumen we had in the club at the time?

Remind me, which one your cronies come up with this marketing masterstroke… :joy::joy::joy::joy:

I’d call some of that bold and smart marketing. Even changing our colour from red to white. The chequeured pattern etc.

Is ā€œmassively differentā€ another way of saying ā€œstinking pile of crapā€ ?

I didn’t say that. I said commercial income more than covered the rent.

The blue and black inter Milan style shirt in the picture is what your referring to?

Yes it was a thing of great beauty. I still have one

He is a clown , yes!

They were back then.
But if your point is that Pomlett/Trivela are doing the wrong thing by barely changing the kits the last few seasons then what about the 20 seasons before where the leech did the same?

Nope. This is exactly what you said.

We all get that you hate Trivela, but your constant negativity about every single action is incredibly draining. Before you go on the defensive and try to label me as a happy clapper - I’m most definitely not that and have been forthright in my criticism on my topics - but I honestly don’t see what you’re getting from being so pessimistic?

White was hardly original considering we did it in the 50’s/60’s.

And in recent years they’ve brought back the green and had the kit with the green white bars across the top.

Just saying you can’t have it both ways.

You can’t criticise the Pomlett/Trivela reign for things that you claim were brilliant during the leech’s reign.

Tom he’s not being pessimistic, he’s just a complete wind up merchant who thinks he’s being clever , which obviously he’s not.
It’s best not to give him the oxygen he needs.

TomG you’ll get to know posters slowly but surely. You’ll also get to wonder why some even claim to support the Saddlers…

People are far too sensitive. It’s just a missed opportunity re the kits. If you for example had changed it radically. Stripes. Checks. Polkadot. You could have sold loads. People won’t buy a shirt that looks so similar. They can’t afford it
