Rare away outing for me this one. Never been there. Looking forward to it.
Haworth Art Gallery worth a visit while there. About half an hour walk from the ground.
I know traffic can be bad Al but I think that’s being over cautious

I was really referring to society in general. The police and the NHS have their work cut out.
I’m loving the football we’re playing. I usually judge the club after 20 games, it’s pretty good indicator of where we will finish. Hopefully we maintain the pace we are on.
Over recent years there have been quite a few teams that have looked in desperate situations after 20 games that have gone on ridiculous runs. We obviously don’t want to have to rely on that though. Slow and steady wins the race, keep the points ticking over. What has been great about us so far is after a set back we have always bounced right back. That is what will get you promoted.
The fact we have held on to our wins bar Chesterfield has been very good. You can afford to lose more if you aren’t drawing too many and winning more games. I agree it’s not time to start celebrating but the character in this squad gives me a lot of confidence. Lost 6-2 at home and bounced back with 7 points out of 9, great stuff.
We might go up, we might not. But if we don’t, I don’t think we’ll be saying we all got carried away , and were nowhere near as good as we thought. Two possible negatives are the quality of the teams we’ve played so far, and how much heavier pitches might take their toll. But we’ve done really well in every cup game against higher opposition, and we’ve not had such strength in depth relative to the starting eleven for a long time, if ever. I still think Johnson, Hall and Cleary will have a say, especially in the second half.
Oh yeah, no guarantees, there never are.
We have a capable squad now as you say, a lot can happen though and you still have to go out there and do it over 46 games.
Going to be a hard game of few chances 4:1 walsall win
I see a number of our team are sporting goaty type beards and little tashes like 1970s soft porn stars. Is this a fashion thing nowadays?
Glad to see them cotton on to what a cool look it is.
Having sported a goatee and tache, sometimes with curled ends, myself for the last 30ish years.
Obviously I have been referred to as D’Artagnan and Catweasel at different points, oh and obviously Pierce Brosnan at different points in that time.
Used to love Catweasel. Only yesterday we were talking about ‘electrickery’ and the ‘telling bone’.
I’d forgotten that that’s where id have picked up those from. What was his toad called?
Happy/relieved about this.
Though by selling tickets the way they have our support will look awful on the telly as it will be just us pay on the day folk (100 tops?) who will be stood behind the goal.
Relief is certainly the main emotion.
We’re going up on the rattler, should be a rollicking good time.
Mrs KingCrod is a fair bit larger than that fine young specimen of a lady. I like my women rotund.
Accringtons terrace is uncovered, but fortunately the weather forecast is dry tomorrow
Yes glad about that too. Taking advantage of a 10 pound Northern Rail offer to get there and back
Yeah, I think this will be my fourth visit to Accrington.
One was a game in the league cup (which we lost) The sun was blazing hot when we left Walsall, so didn’t take a coat. It proceeded to piss it down all night long. So anyone planning on going in the standing, take a jacket, weather forecasts aren’t always right.
