I feel strangely numb. I didn’t fancy us to win and was watching in a very negative light. Perhaps that’s the reason. It will hit us all in the coming weeks. What a foul up.

Gutted. Pissed off. Not devastated because what happened is what I feared. The final went exactly as I predicted to my nearest and dearest, who, of course, doesn’t give a crap and just humours me by nodding and shaking her head at intervals.
