AFC Wimbledon (N) - League 2 Play-Off Final, Mon 26th May, 3:01 pm

I think at the moment he’s a bit of a diamond in the rough. There’s a bit of Elijah Adebayo in there. The only difference is Eli had Marcus Stewart as a coach and mentor. Unfortunately Levi has DB.

Football aside that post from Levi shows a lot of maturity and awareness from a young man. No one likes to admit they failed, especially in the public eye !

Fair play to him for have the decency to share disappointment and humility to the fans .

Yeah, must admit I am impressed with the post from Amantchi. Shows a good attitude, acknowledges he should have done better. Still not convinced, but hopefully he can develop.

I think we sometimes forget that these players are human beings, with feelings. Fair play to Levi, I wish him all the best, but he wasn’t the solution we needed in January. You could argue that we already had the solution sitting on our bench - DJ!! But, it would have been good to bring someone in with a bit of experience, with a decent goalscoring record, if such a player was available. But, getting back to Levi, let’s hope he can develop into a more complete striker - he definitely needs to improve his hold up play and his composure in front of goal.

At least we look on par with inter Milan.

At least we didn’t ship 5 goals :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:!

Major positive of losing at Wembley identified.

He was absolutely flogged last season. How he didn’t breakdown for a significant period of time is remarkable.

Listen he’s had a good career and I’m sure he’s had some really nice personal moments for him and his family, but he’s done now isn’t he? There were far too many occasions when he was done on 50 minutes towards the end of the season but Sadler just kept him on.You could dig a corpse up and stick it upfront and if your accurate enough with your pass the ball will also bounce of that.

As gutted as I am about what happened, I’m not going to say that is it for me.

However, I don’t have a season ticket for next season, and with the age my boys are now it won’t be a cheap at all to attend a home game. I don’t see myself bothering that much if it is lamp the ball up to Matt again. Painful to watch.

We all got ours when we were still in with a decent chance of going up and the price was appealing for league one football, then look what happened.:man_facepalming:t2:

I didn’t renew ours cos I simply couldn’t afford it and do all the away games. Same kind of principle, I thought we were going to get promoted and I wanted the kids to experience it all. My thoughts were, we can deal with next season, next season.

Play it by ear now. Most likely I will go for away games to grounds the kids haven’t done and a few local ones, rather than home games. Pick and chose home games, but any that are on TV I am likely to skip. Which is kind of sad.

Anyone want a reminder of that wondeful day at Wembley.

Just £40 framed.

There is more than a hint of sarcasm included in this post.

It is sad mate because it’s memories isn’t it? Just like I remember my first game with my dad and the times we’ve had going to watch them play.I bet there’s loads on here that remember going with their Dads it’s how it was back then pretty much. Now all you see are Man City tops and Liverpool tops walking around the town.I personally find it sad to see but at the same time I sort of get it because it comes with success and it’s obviously a better watch than down where we are.

Ahh don’t. I opted for 3 souvenir Wembley Tickets at £7.50 each. Get a lanyard with them apparently. Haven’t arrived yet. What was I thinking? Have now emailed the club and asked if they are on the way, or preferably, can I get a refund.

Pay on the day costs a small fortune mate I had to pick and choose last season with 3 kids it’s an expensive day out.

People don’t realise that when they are questioning why you don’t go every week.

Have just managed to bring myself to log back on here. Since the final I have shut myself off from football not watching any of the youtube vids I’d normally watch, not reading any articles I’d normally read, not logging on to here. Was all too painful and only now I’m able to start to think about anything to do with Walsall FC again.
