AFC Wimbledon (N) - League 2 Play-Off Final, Mon 26th May, 3:01 pm

Controversial I know but I’d switch out Flash for Wheatley and probably Osh in for DD. Otherwise unchanged from Chesterfield.

Big pitch will suit Wheatley and I’ve hit a feeling the lad will deliver at the last possible moment for us.

If we’re ahead and need a pressing forward to shore things up for 30 minutes Albert can do a job though I’d prefer him out wide.

Biggest worry for me is Dons going 1 0 up. Mean defence and they’ll likely sit on that lead. We’ll need something a bit more unpredictable and I think Wheatley could be the guy.

Bench of seven..six can be used in normal time,if the game goes into extra time than a extra substitution can be made.

Get what you’re saying but would be very tough on one of the guys that has got us here to miss out for Wheatley who has barely played.

This is true mate. But we’ve got to be hard headed and get the job done. Also what has Flash done this season? I’m a big DJ fan and I’ve had 2 years of Sadler not picking him. Putting all that aside we just need some options and I just think Wheatley could be the man here.

I haven’t forgotten how good Gordon was earlier in the season.

He was utter garbage. Never looks like getting a shot near the goat and runs down countless blind alleys.

I’ve been vocal on here about the lack of opportunities extended to Wheatley since we signed him in January but I really can’t see how he can feature given the rediscovered form of the current squad and the performances since Crewe

You may be right and the space afforded by Wembley might suit him but equally, it’s favourable to the likes of Liam Gordon and Uncle Albert down the wings and this (imo) is where we could hurt their defence…

MS has some big decisions to make and let’s be fair, no player will want to miss out on a Wembley appearance so every call is a big one at this stage…

Just hope that Adomah can turn it on like he did for our home match against Chesterfield, but please Mr. Sadler don’t put him out at the start as a ‘striker’!!!
Wembley ideal for Hall to continue his current form.
Ridiculous to be talking of Wheatley getting in on the act, he will return to Manure to be forgotten in the annuls of our history as an also ran of little importance.
Breaking my heart that my team are at Wembley and I can’t be there due to ill health, but hopefully I can watch the match at one of my locals.
Come on lads do it for my dad, guilty of starting this 68 year Laundry End obsession.
I know we will win this, we have to.

Hopefully he won’t be needed but if we’re losing with 15 minutes to go surely you’d want DJ on the bench?

Gordon has the energy to help protect a lead but he isn’t going to change a game.

McEntee is a must as he can play centre back or in midfield.

We don’t need a manager to pick the team it’s picking itself.substitutes and timing of them is all he has to do and is going to be crucial.

Only change for me should be Barrett for Gordon on the bench.

Adomah isn’t cover for Asiimwe, he’s cover for Jellis/Hall as a wide forward, not a wingback.

My opinion is that a combination of Adohma and George Hall could win this for us.

Is Wheatley even training still here? I don’t see him being involved at all.

For a game like this you don’t randomly play guys who haven’t been seen in months.

Attacking backup would be Levi, Adomah and perhaps Gordon but then I could see him dropping out just to get Barrett back involved as fresh legs at WB around 70th min mark could tip a tight game in this club’s favour.

The trophy. I assume we get to keep it for a year if we win.

I said to the kids yesterday, those two are the most likely match winners. My youngest reckons Jellis will step up, he has been right very often this season, so we will see.

This match is first goal wins.
Probably an ugly goal from a long throw.
Won’t be a pretty match.

A bit worrying really, with out tendency to concede from long throws.

But not since we got our boots back on the right feet….

We’re not conceding goals like we were, we’re defending with a collective determination and I think it’s a world of difference to when we couldn’t defend our box (Jan to Late March..)

I’m hearing that the Chiltern line from Marylebone to Wembley Stadium station is affected by engineering works over the BH weekend - can anyone confirm?

Couple of us in our group are arriving into Paddington so will probably end up getting the tube to one of the other Wembley stations….
