Anyone got a picture of the trialist keeper?

Ironic cheers from the Villa fans as the audience is announced.

‘You’ve only come to see the Villa’ they taunt us with. Great banter.

Confirmed as Hornby.

Sam Hornby owns property in Walsall. Next door to Essington by all accounts.

Villa fans singing Adomah’s name after his nice bit of skill there

How can you gauge that?

True, his career could have come off the rails now.

We’ve done ok second half nothing special just minutes in legs for both sides.I personally think that if we sign 3 or 4 players of quality with what we already have here we may be in and around the playoffs. If we don’t we could well float around between 10th and 16th all season.

Just had to be the little prick Louie Barry right at the death.

The Villa’s quality is frightening, having so much depth in two teams tonight let alone all their mega stars still on holiday after international tournaments. That said I thought we more than held our own and 3-0 flattered them. Plenty of positives for us.

He’ll be stationed in Walsall from now on, so lets hope he’s a good sleeper. Let’s hope he builds up a head of steam.

Pretty much what we knew already. Defence and midfield looks pretty much sorted, but we’re desperately lacking in forward areas. Matt and Gordon are not the answer.

2 strikers minimum and some pace needed off the bench.
