I think Trivela wont act and get the P45 out with MS having a contract until 2028. There was a reason the season tickets were on sale early and I thought it was fishy at the time and they will stick with Sadler as manager, even if we finish 7th they will spin it that we said Trivela wanted incremental progress and Mat has delivered this, so he stays

Their manager said they looked comfortable throughout the game which I predicted midweek will be the same for the last 6 games now.

That’s the problem in a nutshell, mate. Everybody plays nice under Sadler, it needs a big SHITHOUSE of a player, Bernie Wright comes to mind, to put him up the wall in front of his teammates. He can either prove us wrong or hand in his notice request. The vast majority of these players are at the end of their two year contracts in the summer. It feels like there’s going to be a meltdown coming.

I doubt it, thing is Trivela have had an easy ride so far, everyone over a certain age like me knows that all owners of the club in my lifetime would have got dogs abuse for a run like this. They won’t get away with it forever, I have said before it is great that the club and stadium are reunited and the Saddlers club is reborn.
For the fans it is what happens on the pitch and we have been starved of any success for far too long now, failure to capitalise on being well clear at the top and missing out on promotion is a footballing disaster that cannot have a positive spin put on it.
Next Friday may be anything but “good” I suspect and things may start to turn.
Hope I am wrong and we turn things around, but after today, I am really not sure the team have it in them.

Feel really sorry those 650 who made that long trip today to watch a non show and a clueless performance.
Get o’kelly in to give us a chance because remarkably we are still in with a chance if trivela are brave enough because that performance and tactics was unbelievable considering what we are playing for which is PROMOTION !!!

Comley was clearly an improvement on Stirk. Perhaps the only positive was that Saddler did not bring Stirk on. With luck we have ssen the last of him.
Saddler made changes from the Vale game. Good.
He brought the subs on reasonably early. Good.
However, our performance against a very poor team was pathetic. The ‘hoof ball’ strategy can be blamed on Saddler, but lack of any quality in any area of the field is down to the players.
Wish that Saddler would be brave and ditch the kick and rush. He should play our most naturally gifted footballers (Adomah, Asiimwe, Hall, Maher and Chang) and try to win a game through skill and creativity.

Spot on, there is absolutely nothing enjoyable about what’s being produced on the pitch at the minute. The standard of ‘football’ if that’s what you can call it is as dire as anything I can remember over the last 10 years or so. How can Saddler not have the nous to switch up the formation during a game, this is an ex player who has been around the grounds and played under lots of managers in different styles, surely he has the experience to try something different. I just don’t get why the formation that hasn’t worked since mid January is still the only way we play, it’s bizarre!

Need chang,hall amd stirk midfield next week to be more creative and all 3 comfortable with the ball and i qould start with Levi and Dj upfront.
But he will probably start same 11

Comley was quite clearly as poor as he has been in all his recent appearances. Stirk playing with a blindfold on would have been an improvement
