Barrow (A) April 12th, 3pm kick-off

He’s had us playing the same way for 42 games, he isn’t gonna change now. We can play good football with technical ability but unfortunately he doesn’t want us playing that way. It will cost him his job and us promotion

Comley,Priestley, earing, daniels, matt,dj,josh need to all leave end of the season

I would find it very difficult to walk away from Walsall FC. If I hear those words, I think I might be done.

This is why no questions were asked earlier. “We’re still top” Then it was “3 wins from 6 easier fixtures”

If we had finished in the top 7 in other circumstances then it could have been considered progress. This however, is the mother of all eff ups. Context is everything.

What do we actually do in training? Surely we dont train to just hoof and hit and hope??
A weeks training and that was the plan?

I actually thought it was an improvement on his previous post match doorstep selling interviews.

Looking at some of the forward passes today, in the loosest sense of pass, they must have a compeition all week on who can kick the ball furthest

I don’t think so. Remember how we played earlier in the season and during that 9 game winning run. I doubt they did anything different this week but confidence has gone. I saw it myself in the second half last week. and although he made 6 changes nothing changed. The players need reminding of how they can play with verve and aggression. I am not sure MS can do that and as I posted earlier I think a fresh voice in the dressing room would be good.

Did I read something that stated all of our youth teams play 352, ‘high press’, low possession and that is the club philosophy. If so, how very naive. It’s ok having a style but my god, you have to be adaptable.

As I said. Zero Joy in our plight. I’d rather be getting pelters and called out for being wrong. Sadly I’m not. And given the level Of petty name calling aimed at me I’m having a chuckle at how the likes of you who loved a band wagon to Jump on - have fallen off it. But will soon be back on it if we win next week. Fickle is the word. I may not always look on the bright side but I don’t resort to band wagons or name calling.

Someone made a comment about Harry Williams refusing to play, what looks to be his agent has responded to say “100% not the case”

It also needs to work.

That says to me Mat has made a big error leaving him out .

I think with the team selection today Sadler has put himself in a tough position his team selection smacked of desperation I feel he’s probably caused a lot of divisions within the squad players need to feel the eleven that that take the field are selected on merit form performance ect . I honestly don’t know we’re he goes from here players getting it in the neck from fans .is he Sadler taking responsibility for this shambles.hope there is going to be some honest conversation in house players and coaching staff .for me there’s guys being selected who should be anywhere near the match squad .

I can’t be bothered to work out how many relegations we’ve had in the 60 plus years since my first game (ironically Barrow I think) but somehow this will be immeasurably worse if we don’t go up than any of those. Think it will deal such a massive blow to how everyone feels. Something will have been lost somehow. I just felt so lifted when that own goal at Swindon went in,
I felt motivated sitting on the settee to listen to our commentary- so how an earth could the players not have that feeling?
Still perhaps Harrogate won’t find the Bescot an easy place to go, though sadly it seems all too easy of late so I won’t hold my breathe.

Have you been snooping in the bushes up the Broad Lane training ground watching the hoof and hope being practised ?

Mat’s chopping and changing is making things worse. The team selection today was dire, fearful even. I suspect he had come for a point. On Friday, for me, it should be back to the remnants of the team that did so well. Some of those might have lost form, but they worked so well together, knew each other’s game, knew their runs, relied on each other. Take one out and it has an impact on the others - you lose a brick from the wall.

Simkin.
Dave, Harry, Allen
Barrett, Jellis, Stirk, Lakin, Gordon
Matt, Levi.

Subs: Chang, DJ, McEntee, Harrison, Weir.

NB: No room in the squad for Skip (he’s not match fit - just as we found at the end of last season - why does Sadler keep making the same mistake?), nor Comley who despite what the Stirkphobic on here says is nowhere near good enough.

Are they the ones that run alongside the grounds of Crod Towers?
