We’re clever in ways we don’t even appreciate this season. Maybe I’m over thinking, but we score the second, jamma races to the ball that’s coming back out the net to launch it into the stand so Bolton can’t try and push for a quick restart.
Thought exactly the same!
Woke up this morning feeling fine
Got Walsalll….etc etc.
Everything came together.
The club do an “over to you fans” offer
The fans take it up and then it’s “over to you team”
And the team oblige.
I really hope Trivela have learned from that brilliant offer. So many families and kids there yesterday. Thirty one quid for mom, dad, grandad, eldest kid and youngest kid provides a viable day out option for a lot of families. Even if not all of you are huge football fans. Even, dare I say it, if you all theoretically support Villa but know you’ll never get tickets or afford tickets at VP. think the equivalent for a league would be close to a ton.
Hoping for any home draw in round two and hoping the club can agree a similar price point with whoever we’re playing.
Agreed, I saw a lot of old faces who hadn’t been in a while.
I hope if we get a home tie, we keep the £10 policy
One thing I noticed yesterday was the amount people were spending. There were queues everywhere but thankfully people were being served quickly. Plenty of organised friendly staff willing to take our money.
I spent £13 on tickets but comfortably spent £30 in and around the stadium yesterday.
I completely agree.
If you’ve got kids you’ll know that for any event, your spending isn’t restricted to the tickets.
And all of that Dosh from concession stalls is ours. We only split gate receipts with the FA and Bolton.
With prize money and matchday revenue, we’ll have stuck a few quid away.
Needs to be put towards a fighting fund to retain the services of some of our young stars.
You what he’s been class!

As I was walking out of Old Trafford when we lost to Manure in the FA cup I overheard a couple of their fans say “I feel sorry for them, they don’t know how shit they are”. I thought, you poor fools, it’s you that I feel sorry for.
I’m sure they get some excitement watching their team and celebrating goals as they compete in the premiershit and champs league but they will have never known the true glory of football and the pure exhilaration and drug like hit of following a team like Walsall on days like this.
To truely know what it is like you have to go through the years of pain and hurt, of disappointment and despondency that we have for the past couple of decades and to carry those scars with you for the feeling of when Jellis’s goal hit the net yesterday to be that good.
They will have had good times I’m sure but if they win it’s only what they expect and won’t feel like that, and if they lose it’s the end of the world.
They can only know what reel pain feels like, never knowing what true glory can feel like, where as we are dumb to pain and that feeling yesterday, just wow!
Yesterday reminded me that those years of pain were worth it to make that feeling yesterday feel so powerful.
This is why it is so fantastic supporting Walsall and my heart swells in my chest with pride for this team of ours.
Just browsed the Bolton forum, I’ve never seen so many excuses!
Very few acknowledgements of how well we played, just a general feeling that they threw the game to concentrate on the league.
Funny!
A great win in the greatest cup competition in the world.
Something very very special is happening at WS1
Love this club Love this team
There is no doubt we have our club back and it’s in safe hands for now
6 more victories and Wembley will be ours for the day
Could not go as away … highlights:
fantastic 121 save from Simkin first half
two superb strikes
not sure their free kick was an obvious Simkin mistake but he was very much at the left post
watch Walsall fans streaming down the side of the terrace to get to JJ !
That for me is the biggest change Trivela have brought in. It’s now worth being at the ground an hour early cos there are so many options for socialising, and it’s so much easier to get a pint. 3 or 4 years ago, you had the Bescot Bar, or the Bonser Suite, and they ran out of beer or served so slowly it wasn’t worth bothering.
They must be making a fortune now that they’ve sorted that side of the business
Evatt the same, mossive ay they.
Been supporting us for nearly 23 years and except for the promotion in 07 which i was too young to appreciate at the time, the only other good times I’ve witnessed are the play offs season in 16 and the trip to Wembley in the JPT.
Going to make the most of what we’re going through at the moment because it feels so good coming out of games, not only winning, but the football is such a joy to watch.
So pleased for folk like you. I have been a supporter for 67 years and have seen some great times in those years with a lot of dross thrown in. The last decade has been the hardest even for die hard fans like me. I always hoped better times would come but even I am surprised at the turn around this season.
I hope we can maintain our form and at long last our newer fans will see some good times. Yesterday was the best game for years and we all want more of that. UTS
Been a fan for 45 years.
Seen some great times but the past decade has been utterly and relentlessly dreadful.
After so long you become numb to us being Sh1t. So it is taking time to accept we are not.
thought the same, 1500 fans travelled from Bolton to Walsall and then seemingly didn’t care about the FA cup once they had lost. funny that.
Their fans absolutely missed that we were a good team. Saw their forum, and it looks like they’re a very introspective bunch, too worried about their own team to look at the opposition.
Amazing , they fail to acknowledge that they also fielded a stronger team than us on paper.
In all fairness, an ex premier league team focussing on promotion from league 1 lol
Did he even mention us ?
