I thought Perry played quite well today all things considered, especially early on. Good quality passes that actually went forward. Just imagine how well he might have played had he got the 25 games or so that he should have under his belt by now.
Bates is playing better again now as well.
It’s a shame really as how ever well they may play, it’s unlikely that it will be enough to earn us some points.

I agree Saddlertd.
I never bet on anything but have stuck £50 on us going down based on us having a useless team/ useless manager and useless owner.
That’s a £2k win to pay for decent overnight accommodation in places like Borehamwood next season.

You just never know. As I said I thought Clarke and Sinclair were great signings. And certainly was really pleased to see DC appointed and envisaged there was a decent chance of a League 1 return. Probably a view shared by the entire fanbase.

We look such a soft touch at the moment. Try to play nice football but with a leaky defensive, non-creative midfielder and an impotent attack. This side reminds me of the Crewe teams a few years ago before they got decent. Basically, I think we are the team that every other team would love to play next.

I have been behind LP since the takeover. I was excited. However, it is beginning to look like all he offers is a bit of PR. Our budget is as bad as ever and the club is dying.

I’ve been saying this for far too long now - in the central midfield area we lack any creativity. It’s so glaringly obvious.
We need a couple of players in to holt this alarming decline.
Are we now reliant on free agents only?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. At the start of this season very few on here would have said give Adebayo an enhanced deal. I certainly wouldn’t have done so.

See my reply above. Walsall cannot afford to give 3 year contracts to players especially those who are a risky investment .It is how the game is these days I regret to say.
Quite a few had him on their list of players out of the door if he didn’t improve. Not sure many were clamouring to give him a new improved deal.

Or even manage the team for a game. I could bring my random-player generator and use it to pick the team. I wouldn’t worry about formation: we could use about 10 different ones in 90 minutes. I would blow a whistle and the 11 players on the pitch would swap formation. It would confuse the hell out of the opposition! And probably us as well!
Jeef’s deal to buy the freehold for £250k and then charge us millions over the last 25 years must rank as one of the best financial deals ever. And it gets better: if we actually want to own our own ground then we have to pay him millions more! Cushty!
