Could be worse, we could win promotion at Bromley. We’ll only get about 200 tickets there. I’m sure i read on here that the away section is tiny
It will be about 500 according to this
Real shame as we would have taken a few there being a new ground for many
Wife’s expecting a baby round then …. Will try and get her to time it so I can go to Bromley
I can’t wait to get out of this division.
Doesn’t bother me when I’ve got a virus and the cold really knocks me out lol. I’ll take the hot on atmosphere to not cough myself to death
Games over 2 weeks away.
Total home average is 5,675 with the away fans at Bescot averaging 540. So the ‘true’ home support for us is 5,135, making our % taken away 18.8%, which I’d imagine is one of the best if not the best in the league.
If the fixtures had fallen differently I’m sure our overall average would be even higher. Early season trips to Tranmere (575), MK (813) and Salford (772) for instance would have easily hit 1,000+ if they had been in February or March, which I doubt the likes of Colchester and Gillingham will and Bromley and Barrow certainly won’t due to capacity restrictions. Doncaster on a Tuesday isn’t helpful either as that would be a 3k allocation.
Very interesting Pingu - much appreciated and as you suggest, at 18.8% that’s an impressive away support as a ratio of home etc
Cheers
Will be ringing for our tickets later.
Anybody know if we have the bit behind the goal as well as the last few blocks of the side stand?
Sure the new article said 1100ish allocation so was hoping we can go behind the goal.
From the EFL Highlights at the weekend, Grimsby fans were definitely in the stand behind the goal (like we always used to). Not sure if they were also on the side too.
When i rang up the lady in the ticket office thought they were behind the goal, thankfully.
Or possibly a disappointing home support for that number of travelling supporters. It’s the home money we get.
Yeah - can’t disagree with that…
I wonder which clubs fans travel the shortest distance over the course of the season. You’d expect their % to be higher. Especially the better they are doing.
A few seasons ago there was an article
Mansfield and then us had the shortest travel of all L2 teams 2700ish miles. Carlise and Barrow the highest at 4700 ish each.
Carlisle, Grimsby and Plymouth have always been standouts with there away support and the distance they have to travel.
Side stand first then they sell behind the goal (unless they’ve changed suddenly)
We will probs take about 1,000 so I’d imagine won’t get behind the goal, hope I’m wrong and we take loads
I prefer the side stand at Valley Parade personally.
Yeah, it’s miles better.
My ticket purchased on Monday is for the side stand (Bradford Lifts Stand)
I purchased mine on Monday morning, and still haven’t arrived via post yet.
