Would like to see Sadler try a new formation second half and you know actually be a tactical manager rather than just hoping
Sadler gone to Stirk and Lakin next to each other in a 2 with Earing in the ten to stifle their press and give us more of a chance to play though. It hasn’t really worked though.
There’s a definite downturn in performance.

Albert isn’t a striker. Barrett looks knackered and I dont know what Earing has done, but he looks lost.

I was there for that Charlton game, too. I was GUTTED at the result.
I’m gutted today, too, but in small case as it’s only half-time and it’s only the Cup.
But it would be nice to get Wolves (or Man U or …etc) in the next round, for the readies and the chance of glory. But it all pales into insignificance compared with promotion so I’ll try that for consolation

I’d have thought resting Jamma last Tuesday against Bromley, so that he could start today would’ve been preferable. Ditto giving Comley a start.
I can see the argument that the league is more important, but the 3rd round can be a massive money spinner and give us some spending power in Jan.
Anyway, we’ve been gash so far today. Easily the worst I’ve seen us perform this season, way too negative, Comley very poor, sitting so deep he’s almost a 4th centre half. Not just him tho, whole team sitting way off Charlton and showing way too much respect.
Charlton to be fair are closing us down really well, but we look lethargic

Disjointed and too many players way below the levels they’ve been performing at.
Barrett looks shattered and even though he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, I think that first half shows Matt’s importance to the team.

In summary. That was shit. Charlton are not very good. We are wank. First goal free header. Second Comley is a twit. Lumping balls to the channels. Pointless.

With hindsight too many changes. Comley’ s first game , McEntee first since August. We have lost our great strength which is to play as a team. Worried that Jellis is injured. Not good news for Tuesday.
