Cheltenham Town (H) - League 2 - Sat 31st August, 3:00pm

Nah dont think he will to be honest. There is no reason to give him one either.

I agree. He was a popular manager here, even though things didn’t go his way. Heart on sleeve guy.

Fans never turned on Flynn even though he served up some dire football and terrible runs of form, so I’d be suprised if he gets a bad reaction.

Shame about Kinsella, would have been nice for him to get a good ovation from the crowd.

Flynn and the ex players he has are in the past we need to concentrate on what we have now and what looks like a good squad that’s been assembled.

I hope Flynn gets a good reception. He is a decent bloke who unfortunately had a bad spell with us. I hope he does well in the future apart from when he plays us!!!

If Flynn has anything about him and Kinsella has not been transferred, he will put Liam on the bench, so he can at least get a round of applause from the fans as a thank you for your time here.

Flynn shouldn’t get a bad reception because off the pitch we all know he did some wonderful stuff and I think he slightly fell in love with us lot.

And I’ve tried to forget what happened on the pitch, because something that could have been so beautiful turned very ugly very quickly. It became so bad. The reverse at Crewe when he made Liam skipper then hooked him after 25 was diabolical.

As for the game. Really hope we can get a win.

Harking back to Flynn’s time we had similar start to this in the league and it petered out very quickly. Much of that on Flynn (we were two for two and going into stoppage time at home to Stevenage hewoukdntmakesubsdespitethe likes of Andy Williams literally melting in boiling hot temperatures - we never looked forward after that).

Absolutely mental that people take the piss out of him.

I’d be surprised and incredibly disappointed if Flynn got a bad reception but then again we were booing our own players when they were announced in our line-up just a few weeks ago aso I wouldn’t put it past those sort of morons.

Knowing Flynn I expect another ‘battle’ of a game similar to Morecambe and Tranmere but if we avoid any silly errors I think we will win

Guess the key question is who starts up front. I suspect Sadler will revert to Josh and Jamma with Lowe and uncle Albert as options for later.

Is there any news on Priestly after he went off last week? Looked like he’d be out for a bit.

I agree with the sentiment shared by others that Earing offers us something slightly different in terms of creativity so would like to see him start.

Mcentee
Williams
Allen

Barrett
Stirk
Jellis
Earing
Gordon (Liam)

Gordon (Josh)

Jamma

2-0 win to the saddlers.

I don’t think he will get a bad reception at all. He was a decent man and was respected by our decent supporters.
However, all decency will be disregarded for 90 minutes on Saturday afternoon after his side has been well and truly beaten.
We need to get back to winning ways in the league, there’s a good opportunity for us to do that tomorrow.

I think Flynn will get a good reception as he was well liked but I wonder what reception Evans will get?

Start with what finished Tuesday and I don’t think we will have a problem.

Okagbue in the middle and Lowe upfront with Gordon

There’s absolutely no way Lowe doesn’t play tomorrow.

Expecting a good reception for Flynn tbh , and why not, things just didn’t work out for him as we all hoped but think he gave it his all at a time when the club was still in a state of flux. I hope we leave all sentiment behind at 3pm and put Cheltenham to the sword which we should barring any mistakes or dodgy officiating (which is more the norm down the Bezla). Would like to see Lowe starting alongside either Gordon(if fit enough to start) or Adomah, with Jamma and Cleary to be impact subs. Don’t see DJ making the bench again (if he hasn’t departed by 11pm tonight). This will be my first live game this season as my ST has been mothballed due to recovery from emergency surgery during opening weekend… not looking forward to the steps to the Poundland middle tier :frowning_with_open_mouth: but can’t wait for the game once I have got their … COYS

But are you saying that’s what you’d like to see, or do you think that’s what Sadler will do?

Both

Looking forward to this. Traveling home from the Cotswolds tomorrow so it would have been rude not to stop off in WS1.
Inexplicably Mrs HS is going to the Art Gallery instead.
My last home game was the defeat to Swindon on final day of season before last so I’ll go for a reverse of that and a 3 nil win.

Nice words. I had a lovely letter from him after something happened and for that reason alone I’ll never bad mouth the bloke. I hope he doesn’t get a shit reception. Always want him to do well, apart from when playing us of course!
