Chesterfield (A) - League Two - Sat 5th Oct, 3.00pm

I think it will be a cagey game. DD back in the back 3. 1-1 draw - Nathan Lowe with the goal. Looking forward to the match. It’s a big one too. Lose it and it will be doom and gloom until our next game after the international break. Win it and we might be top of the league…come on you Saddlers!

Think we will bounce back today. 2-1 to the saddlers

Elsewhere … Grimsby Town 0 Doncaster Rovers 1 (2 min) … EDIT, now 0-2 (10 min)

Pushes us down to 4th in the table as things stand…

In the rattler to Chesterfield, train is absolutely humming. Having Captain Fantastic back in the starting line up is going to give the boys a huge lift. Incredibly tough fixture but one we can emerge victorious from.

1-2

Bromley should be at least 2 goals to the good, but Fleetwood’s keeper has been inspired

Watching Fleetwood v Bromley and Bromley are all over them . Can’t believe this lot put 6 past us. They’m rubbish (so far). Bromley could easily be 3 up now. Fleets goalie has saved them numerous times. No shots at all from Fleet, 8 from Broms, 4 on target.
Tuesday was a freak result in my book. Depends how we react today.
Fingers crossed.
UTS

Fleetwood just had their first proper shot - a mile over the bar. They’m rubbish. Is that a bit more worrying? :flushed:
Maybe F will turn things round in the second half - again .
Can’t decide whether I want them to look great or to enjoy the schadenfreude of seeing them hammered at home .

Grimsby Town 0 Doncaster Rovers 3 (44 min)

To rub salt into the wound, Grimsby red card (45 min)!!

Fleetwood’s best performances have been away from home but I am sure their fans would have been expecting more after hitting 6.

Pre match beer in Hasland on the way to the match and the scratchings are named after Uncle Albert.

I think Tuesday was wild. An anomaly.

Today will be tighter with many of our lads giving it a big go ahead of their fortnight off. That fortnight will feel so much better if we can completely exorcise Tuesday from our minds and remind ourselves that we’re a good fourth division team.

Lots of youngsters in this team which will make that exorcism tougher. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Daniels and/or Comley making a start.

One change, Earing for Jellis.

Wasn’t expecting even that change, to be honest, not really the Sadler ethos.

If Dave errors cost us again Sadler is going to look daft

What will be the reaction, that’s the question. I hope it is not overcooked one.

Possibly, I’ve always regarded Dave as abit suspect after I saw his performance away at Doncaster last season, in fact both him and Adeboyaga were ropey that day.
Mind you we don’t know how ready any off the retuning players are to actually start a game, so there may not be much choice of starting line up.

I would not be a happy camper if I was Hornby or Donervan…

Yes, but the thing is how would you replace him? The position he holds is not Daniels natural position, or do you disrupt the whole of the back line to accommodate Skip? Please correct me if I’m wrong with that observation

Would not of guessed JJ but there you go.
