I agree that he has likely got a part time deal in the offing somewhere, however he might as well have stayed with us as we haven’t played much (good) football over the last few years and rarely, if ever, play for 90 minutes.
Maybe winning the last two games had him worried that we aren’t going to get relegated out of the league and go part time so he’s got out now instead?
That would be a worry if he intends to make a career as a writer of fiction.
You are saying … Which there is absolutely no evidence of whatsoever. And do due diligence on what ?
You do realise he’s been doing a degree and then an MSC. This would have been a possibility especially as he’s just finished. Do your homework. Then reconsider your stance. Unless you are just nit picking on peoples posts again.
Don’t blame Hussey. I am disappointed of yet more signs that homework isn’t being done on the risks signings carry by the club.
I can’t even make sense of this let alone add any credibility to it by replying.
Make you wonder if there is more issues behind the scenes, DJ not making starting 11. ?
Wow, over 300 posts and the majority of it is basically: “If i speak louder than you, then i’m right” and vice versa.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course. But guys, come on. Yeh its shitty with the timing, leaving us short till January, but can you blame him? If his heart isnt in it, has a new venture, physically cant do it anymore - isnt it for the best all round? I disagree that hes been unprofessional, he’s clearly made the club aware of his intentions and anyone who says they would turn down security and prospects for potentially the remainder of their working life, i’d label a liar, if im honest. Plus the position may not be there in x-amount of weeks/months time.
Unless you’re a property developer with a portfolio - that’s just a no-no and i see the resident trollipop has tried fishing a couple of times for a bite, above. Blame the algorithms and data analysis all you want - the machine wont pop out a value that indicates a date, that a player chooses to retire🤡
Each to their own though - is he a big loss? From what ive seen, no. Do I wish him the best? Yes.
Clarke was nearly 40 when he signed and in any case he went on loan to Oldham for rest of the season.
Have to say this move completely bypassed me as haven’t seen this thread near the top. Hussey like so many experienced players had a solid CV on paper but he’s been very average on the pitch, poor error at Wrexham when Evans apparently shouted and then needlessly got sent off late on v Grimsby.
Was wondering why Sadler was desperate to get in another CB at the end of the window, we all know now.
Guessing Hussey is based in the North and didn’t want to be commuting most days on M6.
Don’t think your last but one point is correct. If he had known about the Hussey thing he would surely have recruited a left footed CB which this system demands.
Is Farq purely right footed then?
Guessing Taylor Allen will fill in at times, it’s not ideal but have enough CBs to get through to January.
Key as ever is Daniels stays fit.
We need a left footed centre back if Sadler is going to continue with this formation or another left wing back if he’s going to stick with Allen there
EDI - equality, diversity and inclusion?
And he said it was a job for life?
Its not the sort of job you give up football for, unless you dont think your body can cope with the demands of football. If hed just said that instead of implying this was better than playing for walsall he have garnered a lot more goodwill from walsall fans.
How in earth do you know that?
Even if you’d seen a job description you have no idea if it’s a job HE’D give up football for even if you think you would.
It may surprise you to know that a good many footballers really can’t wait to retire and lead a normal life.
Have dinner on Xmas day with their family, spend new years eve with their wives, go out on their dad or sons birthdays for a pint, eat what they like, train when they like or if they like, wake up without every bone in their body hurting, relief of getting through it without serious injury, not have to worry (and some do) about criticism of their every effort post match every week….settle in an area where the kids love their schools and can make permanent friends for life, or locate close to where their family live or their wife works……
Mate, no one has posters of EDI executives on their wall when they are growing up as kids.
That doesn’t mean it’s not a job that doesn’t attract your interest as an adult.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a vet, I can’t f-ing stand animals as an adult!
I wonder how many people are doing jobs that give them a great deal of satisfaction now that they never dreamt they’d be in as kids!!
You and me have no idea whatsoever a) what that job entails b) how it links to his future ambitions or c) what floats Chris Husseys boat as a mid 30s male ex footballer.
Don’t pretend we do just because being a footballer looks and sounds like the dream job for anyone who isn’t one!
