Chill

You wanted to sign James-Taylor on the other thread

He’s gonna be part of the free flowing ,pressing , trivela style football. Keep the faith and believe!

He’d be an improvement on timmy and Williams who flynn signed

I’m hoping he has a go-to formation in mind (I’m not fussed what it is) that the players can execute reasonably well, with at least one back up plan that the squad are also all comfortable with. You never knew with DC what the plan was from one minute to the next never mind between games, and Dutton & Taylor both seemed fixated solely on a Plan A with no idea what to do if that wasn’t working.

I hate to break it to you but you know Flynn brought James-Taylor in on loan don’t you :man_shrugging:t3:

Ain’t we supposed to be using analytical data technology to determine the type of player profile we want at the club ? Again supposedly one of the few clubs at our level using this highly prized asset that has spewed out a 34 yr old free agent ? Who’s bullshitting who here ?

Yes , but unlike Timmy and Williams we didn’t own him did we? Let’s see who we sign and then loan and compare. Give me Djt over Williams and Timmy. The kid should’ve played more than Williams that’s for sure

His stats in recent years are actually pretty good.

A player who has potential who wants to make a career is more worthy of a punt than old men looking for another years pay .
Just my opinion hope he proves me wrong

Depends on criteria and squad mix. In someways it’s a relief that an experienced squad player has come in. We aren’t repeating Crawley whose data approach saw players been sold as viewed too small (Nichols to gills) and all there experience players released which left them vulnerable to a relegation battle.

Admittedly more quality needed and definetely more attack minded players, but early days and we now have a squad with subs lol

Mmm, I’d love to know how the super computer came up with this signing

Your opinion is a valid oneand as I said on another thread, this is a practical signing rather than one to raise eyebrows.

In regards to DJT, did he do enough last season? He only made the subs bench in one of Sadlers three games. He didn’t make the squad in the 5 games prior to that, something tells me he wasn’t doing enough and he isn’t the player we should be turning to again this season when goals has been biggest downfall in recent years. :+1:t2:

Decent stats , but at 34 I’m not sure what’s left in the tank.

These older signings haven’t really been working out for us.

Wish him all the best though, he’s clearly got some quality.

Played enough last season to make me think on paper a very decent signing. Few Stockport fans said they would’ve kept him on.

Meant to be solid defensively, a brilliant crosser but pace isn’t on his side.

I’m sick of signing geriatric footballers! Don’t care what his stats said, that was then, this is now.
