Chunky

A great poster on here. Such sad news. Will miss his contributions.

So much respect for all my fellow Saddlers on here. Even ones who are right off their rockers ! Gutted to lose one.

Just awful, awful news.
I too never met Chunkster, but it says so much about his larger than life character that I just feel totally stunned at the news.
Some wonderful tributes on here at such a sad time.
Itā€™s going to be strange not seeing his avatar on the threads.
RIP Chunkster and my condolences to his family and friends.

That really is terrible news I didnā€™t want to hear. I only joined Uts about a year ago I never got to meet the man in person but I instantly found a guy that was very welcoming to me as a newbie and his stories and life experiences I could very much relate to . I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends ,he will be huge miss for everyone on here Im sure .God bless you chunky .

Awful news. Rest in peace.

Truly upsetting news and even though I didnā€™t know Chunkster, I sort of felt that I did. Condolences to his wife, family and friends. I feel that he will be a huge loss to a lot of people. Rip Chunkster

RIP @chunkster, he never made a big deal about his cancer, which is why Iā€™m so surprised that heā€™s passed away. Always enjoyed your banter and sense of humor. Gone way too soon ,but at least youā€™ll have a birds eye view of the games up there palā€¦:+1:

That sums up who he was to me mate and i dont claim to have known him well, but knew enough to know he was a top Saddler and a lovely lad. I am sure he is up there arguing with Shrewsbury and Vale fans as we speak :sparkling_heart:

Like many others I had never met him and had only spoke to him on here, but what a top bloke he seemed. He seemed to talk about his wife and family with so much love and dedication. Such sad news to hear, thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Rest easy Chunkster!

Such sad news. Like many others I only ā€œknewā€ him from his contributions on the board, which were always in the ā€œglass half fullā€ category rather than any negative side. Fly high Chunkster, and hopefully youā€™ll see us as champions in a few months.

RIP

Absolutely stunned to the core with this sad news. Me and Manda were crying when we read it.Iā€™ve met some people in my time but I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever met someone who made such an impression on me or had such an infectious nature and laugh.Iā€™ll never forget that laugh and some of the stories he told us at the railway about things that had happened over his lifetime were honestly hilarious. He was such a positive bloke too and whenever I think of Chuckster I will always smile.RIP mate you will be missed immensely.

Thatā€™s knocked me sideways that has.

Having met him a couple of times and through his contributions on here, I saw him as somehow indestructible.

Top, top bloke - true Walsall fan and a key character in this wee corner of the internet.

Iā€™ll miss him. Iā€™m sure we all will.

RIP mate.

Thereā€™s a piece on the official site for tributes to our lost friends at the Newport game, where theyā€™ll be honoured on the scoreboard and names printed in the programme. You have till midnight tonight to submit a fanā€™s name for inclusion.

Sad news to wake up to, never met face to face but enjoyed his contribution on the board.
Thoughts with those close and friends left behind

Like others on this site I didnā€™t know chunks personally but kind of feel I did ? He came across as a lovely guy who cared about people especially his family and friends, also his love of Walsall Fc was apparent for all to see. Iā€™m truly shocked on hearing this very sad news and express sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP Chunks.
