That would be telling.
Valid point which hadnât crossed my mind tbh, fair play
Itâs a tough one though.
I had a season ticket the first season Covid hit when it was cancelled before the end of the season. I left my money in then. I didnât buy one for the following season. Mainly cos I wasnât sure if we would see a ball kicked. We didnât as it happened. I did however donate probably more than a season ticket over the season, and helped raise money for the club.
Not that it is about me, there were also people who went and helped do tasks around the ground.
It was fantastic how many left the money in the club at that time though, It was amazing.
I think the prioritisation was right for this.
Season Ticket holders should always get first dibs. We lob a few hundred quid in each March often not having a clue what sort of team we will be supporting from August (four months later). What we do know is that there will be offers and incentives which erode the alleged saving.
On this occasion season ticket holders alone would have meant a far larger demand than supply so the extra qualifying criteria was right. As it turns out it gave you a day and a half to bagsy your spot so if it mattered that much and you qualified then you had ample time.
Youâll always get a few sob stories because no system can be completely and utterly waterproof.
Iâm struggling to believe it will matter that much anyway. Think it was 2014 when we had Crewe last game in similar circumstances. They gave us the railway end as well as down the side that season as it was a dead rubber for them. Unfortunately by the time the game came around it was a dead rubber for us too so we had to make do with celebrating Wolves relegation on the same day and a pitch invasion led by some beautifully fancy dressed fans.
I think this one will be the same but without a Wolves relegation albeit it might determine who weâre playing in the play-offs which is quite depressing considering it should have been guaranteed party time. But you never know.
Welcome
Be careful out there. Posting can become addictive. Bit like supporting Walsall through thick and thin
Anyone who needs an adult ticket I have 1 for sale and Newport.
If you are serious @belgian_saddler @Belgiansaddler (not sure which one he uses now) wants one.
I have tickets for Newport and Crewe also, and an empty bank account for the pleasure.
I will take that crewe ticket please mate.
Iâd wait a couple of weeks, theyâll be giving them away by thenâŚ
Yes just hang on youâll pick some up for free this time next week.
Different times these days with all the tech, and the fact that you canât fart without it registering on someones algorithm. For the 5-1 defeat play-off I somehow couldnât get a ticket so I got the train up to Crewe the week before and bought a ticket from their ticket office (unsurprisingly) for the main stand. Decided to make an afternoon of it and had a few beers round Crewe in all the pubs I wouldnât be allowed in a few days later. All in all the buying of the ticket afternoon proved a lot more pleasant than the actual game day afternoon, although when we equalised more than half the stand went up, so lots more must have done the same. I even got a hug off Scott Ollerenshaw, who surely must be a distant relation of Danny Johnson?
Iâve seen that as well and Crewe seem to have a bit of a reputation for causing trouble in recent years although from what Iâve heard itâs a bunch of kids mostly.
Asking for a friend. Is going up there and getting a home ticket on the day a thing?
Think if we win saturday there could be a fair few doing likewise.
Thatâs my thoughts. Would be going with my two daughters. Just wonder if it would end in disappointment (getting in, not result wise).
Ive seen it mentioned that you need to be registered on the Crewe site and have home booking history before their Cheltenham game which was a couple of weeks ago.
In that case. If anyone has three/four tickets they want to sell, please give me a shout.
Give it us!!!
