Wished i could have gone but couldn’t get any tickets. Will watch on the Beeb. Just pray it’s not Lineker doing the summarising. Fear the worst. Rookie goal keeper for us, a Walsall side with zero confidence, and a non-league side with nothing to lose. What could possibly go wrong.
I reckon if he zoomed up there to look for it properly, he’d find it in a flash.
It hasnt sold out has it?
I’ve got a spare ticket if it is any use to you. I don’t blame you if you decline though
If he focuses his mind and is not negative I’m sure he’ll find it
Thanks for the offer, but im still struggling after my hip operation from a few months ago. Spent too much time chasing a ball round the garden. I was trying to get seat tickets. Probably best as we always lose when i go to away games
Makes sense for them to spend money to get the game on.
I think I am right in saying that each club shown get £50k in fees from the BBC.
A lot i reckon
Lutfi logic. We are playing a level 6 team, we have better players, no need to worry. Me logic it’s the Walsall way.
What could go wrong
I do admire his enthusiasm, but on the other hand he’s done 5 matches, i’ve done 5 decades
He’s also got a travel lodge Wembley room booked with a non refundable deposit like me .
Just in time for the charity minded Saddlers to roll into town and change their fortunes for them
Not including BSM dead rubber, we’ve only lost 3 of the last 8…. 2 of those were away from home against 3rd and 4th in the league……
Need to start the strongest team we have for me.
Even with Sadler in charge we should have enough to win here.
Where is everyone going before the game
I ain’t
It will be the final nail in Sadlers coffin
Beat em and it will be " well we should have done"
Lose and it will be " that’s it he has gorra gew"
If I was Alfreton I’d have the groundsman get the local cattle on the pitch to rough it up given Sadlers post match comments after the Barrow game.
I expect they have done that already as well as running a tractor over it!
This is the biggest game in Alfreton’s history, a plum FA Cup tie against an EFL giant with the prize a spot in the third round where they could draw an EPL mega giant, and live on TV to boot. Human nature dictates they will have had one eye on this game ever since the draw was made. Make no mistake they will be straining at a leash to get at us on Saturday. However I was encouraged about how professionally we despatched FC Sheppey in the last round. If we match their attitude and effort levels then our quality should prove the difference.
I’m pretty much past caring which is a sad indictment of our current plight. Even when they scored on Tuesday there were few grumbles, it all had a sad inevitably about it and nobody (except Lutfi) had the slightest expectation we would get back into it.
I’d get Rod McDonald in on short term contract. Experienced, knows where the net is… especially away at NL clubs when it’s on TV
OK it’s not much of a plan but it’s as good as anything Sadler / Waddock / Byfield have come up with so far.
