About 1996, I think. I don’t think our coach had got all the way. I can remember skidding over sheet ice at the Service Station on the way back. The snow had melted then frozen again.
We went
Stayed at the Big blue hotel
But we made a weekend of it, going to a show and Michael Whan’s
Or his mom ?
Blimey I’d forgotten that one. Still went to the chip shop though
Thank you for that.
It is an odd explanation, unless they took the covers off completely for him to inspect. I am sure it would have been called off earlier had it not been on the tele.
In fact, the temperature is actually rising after nightfall. Might have been OK as a night match.
Do we know if the game will still be televised when played?
With what I’ve seen recently I was wondering how Sadler would mastermind getting us into the 3rd round draw.
Now we know, insist on a postponement, the man’s a tactical genius, he saw our best chance and went for it😁
Refs perspective
I know their manager has tried to stir it, but it was the ref’s decision and he took it without being influenced by either manager (MS might have agreed with it, but that’s not the same as asking for it). In fact the ref said that both managers agreed with him so I’m a bit baffled where he gets this angle that he was all for it going ahead and it was Sadler’s fault it was called off?
Don’t worry about it, they routinely drivel on and on.
Maybe it’s because the ref is bound to say that and he literally went on national television saying it should be played?
I mean, whoever was correct, there’s no doubt their manager seemed to think it was fine and Sadler didn’t.
Hes just been proven to be trolling and yet you still have tunnel vision
Can you send me the directions to the moral high ground please
Hardly.
So the day before Flynn was sacked he said surely he’s got to go, after that appalling post Leicester run. And you’re suggesting that is the same as the continuous shite you and stretch post about Sadler?
Sadler’s no where near the bad run of form Flynn had yet.
You might want to start looking for the intellectual high ground before you bother with the moral high ground.
Actually said to a mate yesterday that we needed to play today, as otherwise the whinging about everything Walsall would go into overdrive and we’d have to suffer it for a whole further week.
Lmfao always an excuse with you MS in brigade aint there embarrassing to say the least
Question i called it after the sutton game who has been proven right since then ?
Thats why theres continuous shite posted about MS and thats the way it will carry on until MS gets the boot unless he proves me otherwise
Its nothing to do with being intellectual its to do with telling us were wrong and we should support MS regardless … pot kettle black ! am i allowed to use that saying or is too common for you
Thats a thing to brag about isnt it MS isnt near that run YET. Difference is Flynn had something too offer the club what does MS … serious question what does MS offer walsall fc then
I just dont understand how you expect people not to moan please explain ?
Yes half a season of pure shite. I even tried to be positive about that, misery’ll give you ulcers😉
We don’t always see eye to eye but I have to agree on the abuse. We can all criticise based on the professional job they are doing, no idea why some get personal or over-analyse every single interaction by way of justifying having a pop. The abuse recieved by Whitney, an amazing servant to the club, still makes me feel uneasy. At the end of the day, nobody comes to Walsall to do a bad job and I always have a lot of sympathy for any manager that has to work within the crippling constraints of WS1.
Where I don’t agree is the continual assertion that this forum is overly negative. I have been on social media platforms and have had to come away because of the kind of comments that I am referring to above. Its actually quite toxic. Not only that but it is clear that feeling inside the ground is changing and there is now a lot of worry about where we are heading.
I would say based on what I am hearing and seeing from mates that still go, UTS, social media and phone ins, UTS is actually fairly positive atm. You cant just decide this site isnt representational because you and your mates say its negative!
I’d agree with a lot of that Funky.
It just seems that for some even if we’d played and won today, it wouldn’t have been a good enough result whatever the score. Sadler would’ve picked the wrong team and formation and we’d have been lucky to win. And then we’d be on track to be battered next round while sliding out of the league. Oh and the yanks wouldbuild falts here and on Drogheda aswell.
