D 0-0 vs Alfreton Town (A) - FA Cup Second Round - Tue 5th Dec, 7:45pm

If the game is on tomorrow the pitch is going to be a freezing cold quagmire, we’d better be up for this or it’s got all the ingredients for a cup shock

How they gonna stop fans getting a refund and then using their ticket at the turnstiles?

Just over 24 hours to get a refund is cutting it abit fine

Seems a very loose process, what’s stopping people phoning up claiming a refund and then using their tickets to gain entry to the game tomorrow evening?

Walsall usually come down with the Christmas decorations in January. If that happens this year, then we are truly fecked!

It was okay, he was able to play rush goalie!

Just spoke to the ticket office (2 O’clock) and they reckon there are at present around 300 available for pay on the gate tomorrow.

I’ve got a prior engagement but the good news is Everton Andy is going in my absence, he’s been something of a good luck charm for us, we’ve only lost 4 of the 16 games he’s been to since Covid.

May be time for us to attend our first away fa cup game together since Ipswich :+1:t2:

Wouldnt they have to hand their ticket stub in to claim the refund?

Didn’t we lose that. Mind you the lift for the game was appreciated, what was it, six hours drive each way for you, Walsall-Reading-Ipswich-Reading-Walsall?

Refunds are being processed over the phone?

It’s alright, I can make my own way to Alfreton this time.

Yes just phone up and they process it.

Still have my stub.

If all 300 returnees now decided to turn up with their stubs or tickets that would leave Alfreton shy of about £5k.

What a shame if they ended up out of pocket after dragging us up there for a frozen pitch.

Sadly, they could offer to pay me to go tommorow and I’d turn it down
