I personally prefer a possession based approach. Sadler seems to be more about pressing and direct balls. This is different to the hoofball we experienced under Flynn.

That was poor.
Sadler got most things wrong. The formation didn’t work, too many hybrids and he didn’t try to change the game with subs until the dying embers.
We’re asking too much of Draper.
I was calling for Johnson and Matt to replace Draper and Tierney - give them something completely different to defend for 20 minutes.
Hutch isn’t a wide man. Mcentee isn’t a midfielder.
Evans 9/10
Daniels 8/10
Tierney 6/10
Gordon 6/10
Then nobody else above a four with a couple of 2’s in there for Hutch and Riley neither of whom could do anything right.
We were bad but got the point I predicted to make our record 434. Need a draw on Saturday and we’re slap bang on for that fourth division symmetry and around 14th in the league.

I think the point is… what we are seeing isn’t a drastically different style.
What we are seeing is just a little bit more up-tempo direct football. I find it boring and negative.
I thought we were going to get a much more attractive brand of football to watch. Instead we have a sort of neo-classical Flynn approach.
I’m not convinced.

Im sure at some stage with have all said we dont care about how we play as long as we get out the this league have we not?
For a man who played under smith and has okelly as his mentor I’m suprised possession doesn’t matter to sadler
If okelly was there tonight does that mean sadler admits he is struggling slightly or does not have full confidence in his current coaching teams ability and advice ?
Absolutely! I said it all last season and the response I got this summer to the Sadler appointment from you is what I outlined above

I think the point… again, is we have to play more dominating football, to give us a chance of getting out this league.
We simply don’t do it. I think it’s a coaching decision.
Yes that is fair enough, I too prefer a more possession based approach.
But equally there have been moments where we have won the ball high up the pitch with 3 or 4 men attacking that I can’t recall from last season. And when those moments happen i think it’s exciting. I can’t see why people are complaining so much.
I don’t agree on Tierney. I have no idea what he does to earn a 6!
Evans needs to be judged on 1/shot stopping 2/ in possession. I’ll give him 9/10 and 0/10.
Gordon was ok for a spell second half but the catalyst for that was Hutchinson coming inside getting on the ball and giving it to him. It was our best spell of the game and should’ve been the signal to get Tierney off and allow hutch to keep doing it.

Dreadful game. Such poor entertainment. Yes watched on tv. Midfield hopeless. Mk dongs by far the better team. Shocking in game management from Sadler. His issue with Dj will come back to bite
Attendance as well. Worrying. The happy clappers love it that we have 3000 season ticket holders. Well with 250 dongs fans that means only 1250 paying customers. The club need to do more

Yes that’s correct a great chance clean through and his control was awful probably the chance of the game for us
We just need to find a way of winning games with or without high possession stats. Its league 2 no need to over complicate things from what ive seen this season its a free for all anyone can beat anyone.

Awful slow start AGAIN we could easily have been 2 down Riley at right back first half and players in front of him all over the shop they had acres of room crosses coming in marking was terrible .keep starting like that and sooner or later we concede 2 or 3 in first 15 minutes.they better side than we by big margin good shape to them kept possession switched it about won all second ball.everything we’re not .real happy with a point from that .Hutch the only player who can make anything happen for us poor first half but wasted on the left side .
