D 0-0 vs MK Dons (H) - League Two - Tue 3rd Oct, 7:45pm

Didn’t someone say a week or so ago that Menayese was only a couple of weeks away from being back in contention? He’ll have CBs coming out of his ears again soon!

That booking - whether it was for the initial infringement or clearing the ball a fraction of a second later, when he was already committed - was harsh.

The Ref kept his six bookings per game, record going and in particular gave Freddie nothing, even to the point of threatening to book him for getting himself fouled!
Three time Freddie was jumping only to be pushed in the back - Matt got one as well (two hands and a shove as he rose) for the Ref to give nothing. The Franchise got away with plenty last night.

Oh I hadn’t spotted that. Yes ill definetely go to the Gills game for £5

Daniels has been pinging effective long balls all season. See the first goal at Blackburn.

Take a closer look next game at Draper, goes in with no intention of winning the ball most times. Leaning in and whatever, fans always appeal instantly for a foul but in most cases it isn’t.

Does anyone know the circumstances here ?
I’m intrigued.
Fantastic thing to do whatever
Edit : unless he handed over the money at knife point. That wouldn’t be so fantastic

The way I have read it the circumstances were that the MK fan stayed behind to express his disgust at the team for drawing at Walsall and not already walking away with the league (his twitter feed is very critical and would find a home on WFHYS) and somehow missed his transport home.
Shame Tierney didn’t know of this guys contempt for lowly Walsall sneaking a point off his team and told him to walk home.

Saw that last night and I think on another tweet he said he’d hung around after the game to give the Dongs players and their manager some sh*t.

I’m guessing that meant either his mates or the coach he came on left him behind.

There was another tweet where he was asking if anyone would put him up for the night in Walsall for £30.

We drove back to MK and had I seen the tweet earlier….

… I still wouldn’t have given the Franchise prick a lift home. :joy:

Yes, I saw that, but equally he was clattered a number of times.

Not sure what our best team is anymore, riley was really poor first half, mckentee name never mention except twice on i follow, and mkd should have scored 2 maybe 3 times. Really lucky draw.
Need a DJ in the team to create something out of nothing as we normally give forwards nothing. Oh last comment Gordan crossing was poor and as a defender you know he going to cross low. So no wonder ball was cleared so eady.

Gordon was given the run around a bit first half but recovered well second half.

He showed some pace last night that I didn’t realise he had. If he could put one decent ball in 3 in he would be different gravy. Unfortunately, as you said his balls are easily anticipated and dealt with.

I agree to an extent but as we are currently set up no one attacks crosses at the near post… Two of those crosses last night would have been useful if we had a striker who could poach goals at the near post  If only we had such a player!

Gordon and Hutchinson struggled to get to grips with MK first half.

They pinned Hutchinson back too deep and negated his attacking output (helped by the fact they had the ball most of the time).

They also pulled Payne over to that side to overload it and gave them a very strong triumvirate of players that have played league 1 football. To be fair defensively they both coped well.

Second half they got to grips with it and both players gave them problems.

Sometimes we’re (fans, not you personally!) too quick to just slate a players performance and we don’t take into account what the opposition have done to cause that.

Was just about to say this. Gordons cross’s were mainly poor but a couple just needed someone to gamble and go near post across the defender.
Shame we didn’t have anyone on the bench he could have put on who would have done that.

I hope they find him out

He seems to have only two outlets. To the byline for a cross with the left to the near post, or cutting in for a shot with his right. He doesn’t seem to check and cross to the far post with his right, or pull it back for someone better placed behind him.

Evans probably one the best keepers we’ve had for a long time .Just wish we had few more influential players with the presence and authority of Donervon Daniels in this side .we would be a much poorer side without him best bit of business we’ve done this season extending his contract .

Evans is our best keeper since o’donnell

I don’t think he’s anywhere near as good as Etheridge.
