Strange thing about the Whyte question was that the interviewer actually asked it because he never asks that type of question normally as far as I can remember
I didn’t think Rodney was even a striker, I thought when he signed it was to play the opposite side to Wilkinson. Pretty sure when he signed all the reports I read on him made it look that way maybe I dreamt it. If he isn’t though he doesn’t fit into flynns style. Just back so haven’t read all previous contributions - I’ll catch up later after me curry and pint.
Surreal day really. Their ground is odd. The away end split into three and barely a decent view in any of them. Wouldn’t be top ten in the National League. Their more vocal fans like a primary school trip crossed with the cast from Why Don’t You…?
As for the game. It matched the surroundings. Flynn sacrificed width and compromised Shade and Osadebe by making them conventional full backs - all to sandwich Tomlin into the starting eleven. It wasn’t a sacrifice worth making. Effectively four central midfielders completely congesting the middle of the park leading to niggley nothing play with lots of fouls in a stop start encounter that neither side deserved to win.
Oh well. Ground ticked off.
