Disappointed with the recent results. But we’ve proven we can pull results and a run of form together.

Results have gone our way, 1 point outside the playoffs with a game in hand. With a two week break we can get some bodies back, regroup and go again for the final 8 games starting with MK away.

Season is far from over.

I’d have taken a point before the game. Our profligate strikers are really concerning though - they look the opposite of our defence, who are confident and walk with swagger; the attackers look really nervous.

Imagine being a walsall player working hard putting in decent performances then you see Gordon faal or djt in the lineup
You know there going to screw the game up for you and you ain’t got a cats hell in chance of success at the club.

Admire the optimism but potential win avoided

We were the better team. 2 points dropped.

This :+1:t2:

Season is only far from over if we keep getting corners as it’s the only way we score unless a cb scores a good finish in open play

DJT should be playing for Pelsall Villa. Has the physique of an athlete but offers no pressing whatsoever and is often standing still wondering what he’s supposed to be doing.

Didn’t think I would be saying this at one point but we miss Matt.

Need to gamble for next match. Johnson/Gordon or Johnson/Matt up front. Gordon and Matt can set up Johnson in different ways that will present scoreable chances for DJ.

DJT is a Sunday league player.

Gordon is non league.

Faal… has to work on the basics.

Matt… past it.

Big job in the summer to replace those 4. My fear will be that we sign 2 or 3 of them. Could see an argument for Matt as a 5th striker / coach option; but others… nah.

Frustrating as a win here and we’d be in a great position, we just can’t seem to beat these lesser sides. Missing Matt and could do with an actual finisher like DJ getting some mins in asap.

Still firmly in the mix and with game(s) in hand in our favour.

The achilles heel of results against bottom 2/3 clubs strikes again.

It will really say something about this league if we were to make the play offs and go up when we have taken 6 points from 18 against the bottom 3.

13 day break to get players fit and focus on final push

Weird how we miss Matt but his finishing is as good as Gordon’s
If we play Matt we still need a finisher alongside him , but where will we find someone who can finish?

Effectively we have NO strikers, (well we have one good one but he’s obviously on Sadler’s naughty list)
This is going to ruin a great chance of a pot at the play off’s, if we can’t score it ain’t gonna happen.

That’s a good point. The pitch was dreadful down one side, Cowley picked a side of giants, knowing we were not the tallest or most physical team but we did well and could easily have won. The back three did OK in a real physical battle. It was the type of game where having Farquharson, McEntee and Matt would have made a massive difference. As it was, we struggled.

Thought the penalty was harsh and, towards the end, the ref made our players stand about 12 yards back for a free-kick.

Given that we just about had every fit player we have on the pitch, this was a decent result. Maybe the 2-week rest will help us get people back to fitness.

Seems a missed opportunity to me.
Cannot understand why DJ was not given at least 10 or 15 minutes.
Hope we don’t have cause to regret this.

Gordon’s obligatory misses from less than five yards weren’t the easiest of chances today but he has mastered the art of missing the target by a bigger distance than he strikes the ball from the target.

Such a shame that for the first time for years we have a functioning midfield and what’s in front of them isn’t up to it.

Hoping Matt and DJ come back and hit a purple patch together in the last seven or eight games.

Can we sign a unattached striker til the end of the season to maybe give us a little more of a chance and send back Gordon faal and release djt

Disappointing with two draws against teams at the bottom. Whilst we are only a point outside the play offs with a game in hand one also has to factor in that Crawley are only 1 point behind us with two games in hand and Morecambe can also leapfrog us for that last play off spot.

I think its probably a step too far to grasp that last place now.
