D 1-1 vs Colchester United (A) - League Two - Sat 16th March, 3pm

Can’t see us going away to MK Dons and changing up what has been successful in the last 6 weeks and gambling for a game where if we got anything, it would be a good result.

Should have more options off the bench in a few weeks, but as for starting, if both available, will be Matt and Gordon.

A gritty draw as I expected.

Season basically rests on winning the home games.

We have a proven goal scorer on the bench but Sadler for some unknown reason won’t play him. Is there anyone on here that thinks he’s worse than Faal, Gordon, DJT or even Matt.
Today Taylor Allen had 3 shots today, all on target. Scored one, one blocked and one off the line.

We played ok. Should have won. No need to be defensive. Midfield looks good and defence is ok but could be better.

The critisism of the forwards is completely legitimate. They were and are sub standard

They are letting us down its ok though they run around a lot we miss Matt at least he can control the ball and has some aerial presence and nous.

How about changing up what hasn’t been successful for the last 3 games ?

Put Taylor up top he literally couldn’t be worse. It’s impossible

Nothing wrong with having a strong point, very clear opposition are aware of this and are visibly worried about a corner.

We’ve been in this division for much longer than we’d all anticipated, the fact we’re in this position and there is such a ‘seasons gone’ undertone is surprising.

Hoping for another great away following at MK, our squad will be much stronger for the two week break and as the players/staff have been recycling we the fans can make all the difference.

I feared for us when Earing conceded the penalty which (fortunately) was well saved by Smith, who made some really good saves throughout the match.
The pressure we put on them in the 2nd half should have resulted in a goal, but it wasn’t to be.
Another 2 points dropped into, something we can ill afford to do, 6 in the last 3 games - not play off form.
We’re conceding too many penalties and letting sides back into games. Dropping points, conceding needless penalties, the whole trend is worrying. If we don’t make the play offs, we can look back at these last 3 games as to why.
Disappointing!

Need to shake it up.

Faal is not a starter in a million years . Too erratic .

Gordon can’t score .

Matt and DJ to start if fit .

To not give DJ at least the last 10 minutes today was criminal on Sadlers part .

It is just poor entertainment, you just know what is going to happen as soon as the ball is passed to our so called strikers

We are still fighting which is a miracle given a fair few baffling decisions from Sadlers throughout the season. We need to get DJ out there and make sure DJT misses the coach to MKDons. I cannot understand Sads insistence in bring Tierney on as imo he has shown nothing all season. Hopefully Jamma will be back soon as his disruption and physical presence give us a fighting chance for midfield to come through onto 2nd ball plays. I wanna stay positive until it’s mathematically impossible but it’s gonna be a long and anxious wait for MK Dons on 29th. We need a win a quickly otherwise the very last drop of the hard earned confidence what just evaporate and quickly follow the lost momentum with just 2pts out of 9 looking to be very costly at this stage … come on lads let’s get going again

For morale

Just thinking the missed chances tee-ed up for burying (in the past three games). Cries out for someone with a cool head and knows where the goal is. That’s DJ.

Probably need a minimum of 14 points from our last 8 games to hit the 70 mark which is current play off points target. Not beyond the realms of possibility if we can get some players back fit. W4 D2 L2 would do it, not much room for error mind with MK Dons away up first. Easy!

Why not , at this stage of the season loads of good ones out there just waiting, :slightly_smiling_face:

Dark horse to sneak up near to the play off zone could be Tranmere.

Could have been worse. Colchester better than FGR who we lost 2 0 to last Saturday.

Jacko man of the match for me.

I don’t think DJ is 100% but he should have got some minutes there at the end. DJT did better than Faal today but I thought overall our frontline was poor.

Today not a disaster and I think most of us would take an April where we’ve got something good to play for as an acceptable season.
