D 1-1 vs Colchester United (A) - League Two - Sat 16th March, 3pm

Tough one to call this. Both teams need a win, so should be a good contest with chances. Let’s hope that we take advantage of the ones we get today.

I’m flying home this afternoon, so will miss what’s happening for most of the second half.
Hoping for good news when we land in Malaga this evening :crossed_fingers:

I remember years back Stoke got to the prem and Pulis immediately narrowed the pitch to the allowed limit and that gave them a very good home record for a couple of years as no one could really get to grips with it and of course it was easier for Delap’s long throws from even the halfway line to reach the six yard box.

So pros and cons to it. Been a wingerless free zone in the general formation this season and those players can get lost on a small pitch due to lack of space so that won’t be a concern.

Only issue to me is Colchester will have probably been training on it yesterday to get a day’s practice? If not then it will be as new to them as the away team.

I’d be happy with a point today. To get 7th or close to it need to be winning majority of the remaining home games so that is where the play off charge will be successful or not.

Ah, wasn’t including the premiership but, believe it or not, Nottingham Forest used to have the biggest pitch

Not sure about the last bit. If and it is a big if, even if we won all of our home games we would probably need at least one away win if not two. Feels like a win is needed today, especially as the momentum we had is beginning to fizzle out. It’s obviously not terminal if we don’t but I think we really need to go and turn these over.

I’d agree with that. Deffo need to beat MK and Wimbledon away to really give ourselves the best chance.

It’s ridiculous, how can they see where the lines are?

Only change from Tuesday seems to be Dave coming back in, in place of Menayese.

Off topic, but Wolves :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:
