D 1-1 vs Colchester United (A) - League Two - Sat 16th March, 3pm

Would hope so, anyone going will be well into the journey by 12. Can’t go tomorrow but went to the old ground and it ain’t a quick journey without traffic.

Does a narrow pitch help or hinder having a back 3? I would say it helps because it compresses the play, so easier to defend, provided that the WBs have some licence to roam.

We can hardly say what Walsall play is total football but Sadler does seem to like defensive players who can play in broad roles, hence the way that Daniels, Allen, Comley and Adegboyega play.

He meant 12 today

4-0 to Sutton, 2-0 to FGR, the Manor setting aside a complete ward for Walsall F.C. injuries, the omens are not good. Even with a depleted squad we still have to try to get a result tomorrow, otherwise the recent fabulous upturn in form during February will have been for naught.

Adegboyega is back so 19 nil win.

No, not for naught. A lot of pleasure came from that run, and a little bit of hope. We are also hopefully moving away from a 16th place finish. It also means we will more than likely be starting next season with the same manager and not ripping it all up.

We could do with a result of course, but if we are considering the upturn in form as for nothing, then it is questionable why any of us bother at all.

Even defeat tomorrow and victories for our playoff rivals leaves us

3 points off Crawley having played a game more
5 points off Wimbledon with a game in hand
3 points off Gillingham with a game in hand
2 points off Morecambe

With 8 to play

We all would have taken that two months ago

we’ve got this, I’m a believer

Colchester being second from bottom worries me due to our record against the bottom teams and our injuries.

Whatever happens this season we had ourselves a sniff of the playoffs and these players are buying into what Sadler wants from them. The unity and family atmosphere between them all is there for all to see, they run and fight for 90+ minutes every game and not many of us gave us a chance a month or two ago so let’s just get behind the team, be the 12th man and see where it takes us.

We as fans have a mahoosive part to play with pushing our team hopefully into a play-off positions, especially at home where the backing is larger, and considerably less vocal as our away support.

The players and manager have stated before on numerous occasions how they are lifted when the noise levels are raised.

So come on everyone lets get behind this team 100% and give them as much help as we possibly can.

Worries about today with these being in the bottom two and the amount of injuries we have, but im going to be positive and predict a 0-2 to the lads

The support especially over the last month has been unbelievable.

A month ago we were 16th, 3-0 down to Newport at home and some cheered off Evans when he got sent off.

Season could have quite easily ended there, since then we’ve beaten top of the league, gone to Harrogate and played them off the park, come from behind to beat Accrington, battered Morecambe, beat Doncaster who thought they were Barcelona and got a point against Barrow playing with our 8th choice centre half.

3 points would be lovely today but I’m not confident at all. We drop points against the teams we really shouldn’t
