I do agree with what you say . But is DJ not available at the moment due to injury?
He was in The locker on Saturday and said it would be about 3 weeks.
No but we had Draper thenâŚ
And still has another 9 toes he could possibly break !
Well he was right about the referee who chickened out of giving us decisions early in the second half because he would had to give a red out.I said to my wife at HT he would do that.I red all season is all he has given.
He talks in riddles, imagine him conveying his thoughts and plans to the players, no wonder we look lost at times
DJ was not on the bench, and with a broken toe, it still could be a while before he is fit.
He is in any case behind Matt, J Gordon, Faal, DJT and Oteh in Sadlerâs opinion, so as sixth choice he probably will not have many minutes on the pitch even when he is fit.
Since Draper left we have played 6, drawn 3 and lost 3, with only one goal by a striker in those six games. That was scored by DJT when we lost at Stockport.
That point has kept him in a job for another week but God help us come Saturday.
âI believe in building a structure, a system, and a culture where a manager can come in if (and only if) they fit that strategy, and be a part of our building process. Said another way, we need to build a crystal clear football strategy, and identify the correct manager to fit into that picture, and create the best possible environment for that manager to succeed. We have been building this for the past several months, with Trivelaâs VP of Global Football playing a leading role, with his extensive experience in the game informing the workâ
This was taken from âBBâs visionâ at the start of the season. Its a very interesting read, especially now.
This is why question marks still hang over Trivela for me. DJ was brought in to either garner favour with the fans or shift some season tickets. Their newly appointed manager, delivering their âcrystal clear football strategyâ, clearly did not want this star, marquee signing. The whole of our season has fallen apart for exactly the same reasons as 22/23, which makes a total nonsense of the above statement, which was released to demonstrate there would be a step change in the way the club operates.
Unfortunately, it was bullshit.
Oh no he hasnât, oh yes he has, I piss myself every time listening to Sadlers post match interviews, totally deluded.
Is there a WM interview?
I can barely bring myself to press the play button .we had I fair few manager failures but I alway wanted to hear there after match take on the match .Mat Sadler is an exception to that Iâm afraid absolute baloney.and the one thing he never disappoints on .
Short one around 17:50, full version yet to be uploaded. Carbon copy of the club one with a lot of âmomentsâ
I had quite a pleasant evening.
Initially made the schoolboy error of finishing work early to part with a tenner to watch what I forlornly hoped would be a half decent game of professional football, whilst acknowledging but ignoring the gut feeling there was likely more chance of inventing a way to knit manure.
Saw the post about 13/8 Crawley double chance and whacked a fiver on at 15/8. Fell asleep about 10 minutes into the second half and just now awoke to a ÂŁ9.38 profit in my Betfair account. So overall just 62p down and had a nice kip, Iâll take that. Or as @JoaquinErnesto and others might expressâŚ
Iâll save the Sadler post match for if I canât get to sleep later having already had a couple of unscheduled, impromptu hours.
Sky highlights
That was pretty awful and a performance of totally uninspiring nothingness. There was no indication that the players were hurting from Saturday and were eager to put it right tonight at Crawley.
For their goal, we did what we always do which is stand off the opposition outside the box and only try and defend when the ball comes into the box. This is down to the coaching and it drives me mental.
Crawley were not much good and we could have got 3 points tonight. The second half was a missed opportunity having gone in at half time 1-0 ahead. I cannot remember too much of a threat in the entire second half. Other than the penalty and a shot from Hutch which the keeper saved I think that was it in terms of goal chances.
The players who are supposed to deliver crosses into the box (Knowles and Gordon) unfortunately for us cannot provide a decent cross ever. I could cross the ball better as an 11 year old left winger in the Walsall Junior Youth League.
Tonight was a typical Walsall performance under Sadler other than December. I really feel that we are being battered into accepting bland mediocrity as progress. It is a crying shame.
UP THE SADDLERS
Did knowles even get past the half way line this game to make a cross?
Other than the one golden chance that unfortunately of all our players he ended up with
He played very defensive like it was a true back 5
He brought Tierney on.
Think the debate about what he adds to the team is over.
Tierney, Stirk and Knowles are not L2 standard. Saddlerâs favouring of these over Maher, Lalkovik and DJT has determined our poor season.
