There is a supporters club with a decent bar behind the home end that welcomes away fans. If they are still doing it, there is a wood fired pizza oven and other catering just outside of it (plus a bog standard kiosk inside our end).
There is a bar at the stadium at the back of the Bruce Winfield Stand called the âRedz Barâ, which allows in well behaved away spectators before (but not after) the game. The entrance to this bar is gained from outside the stadium. Peter informs me, âThe closest pub to the stadium is the New Moon on Brighton Road (A2219). This is about a five minute walk away going towards the town centre. Another pub close by is The Downsman, which is on Wakehurst Drive, just off Southgate Avenue. Away spectators are advised to cover up any colours in and around the vicinity of the arena.
PS As you come off the M23 and approach the stadium along the A23, there is business park with FREE match parking on the left hand side (there should be signs up). There is a footpath from the back of here (by the allotments) that crosses the stream right into the stadium complex at the home end where the supporters club is.
Coming out you canât turn immediately right back towards the M23, but itâs only a short distance to a roundabout where you can double back on yourself.
Our lot should be alright this afternoon then, as we both play in red. Would advise to cover up if youâre wearing the green away top though
Iâll watch on I follow like any sane person
Do you come out by the little Astro behind their bar?
Yes you do.
Never thought Iâd ever agree with something Bonser said
Playing out of form Crawley has the feel of last seasonâs trip to Wimbledon. They couldnât get a win for love nor money yet somehow we managed to kick start their fight for survival.
They have more points from the last five games than we do. Still, win tonight and we leapfrog them, and if Bradford lose we could be as high as 14th by ten oâclock tonight.
Incidentally, if Newport win tonight they go above Notts County, which wouldnât have seemed likely a few weeks ago.
Donât you think thatâs an astounding statistic when we play with so many defensive minded players.Looks at Saturday at home, we had hardly any attack minded players on the pitch and we were 3 down by half time. Now I personally think weâd all be happy with how we set up if we were keeping it tight and getting plenty of clean sheets but the way we set up doesnât even guarantee that! So whatâs the point of it if we still concede with hardly any attacking players on the pitch.
For gods sake no one tell @Thanatos
1-1.
Might aswell go Hutch for our goal⌠again.
What i find amazing is sadler has lost 11 games out of 29 and he just doesnt seem under pressure one bit⌠im expecting a loss tonight which will take us up to 12 losses in 30
To everybody going tonight - you have my upmost respect. Top supporters.
You have the right to cheer, boo, sing, shout, encourage or berate.
Safe journey and letâs hope for a good result.
Letâs prove Sadler right and not let a early goal in for the twelfth time.
Pretty much the same as Clarke, 2 seasons, and Flynn last year at the this point in the season, yet they werenât under pressure at that point either. Nor were they regarded as being particularly shite at that stage either. Amazing huh?
Should be a good night, lots of penetration, intricate ball work and maximum effort from both sides for 90 minutes.
Ah, Valentines Day is tomorrow, whoops.
This will be a 1-1 draw. Priest from a corner for us.
Hoping for a win,but i can see a draw as the likely result. Props to all the fans going tonight on a lousy day weather wise and an equally shite journey!!!
No one lasts 90 minutes mate x
