Nice bit of cash by the sound of it. I rate him higher than most but definitely replaceable
I like Dave, i know he wasn’t everyones cup of tea but with the model of the club now being that we develop players and the fact he’s been here for a year and we’ve managed to get a six figure fee for him, i think is pretty good business.
In previous years you’d be worried that we’ve sold a player and we’d never see the money again, but I’d fully expect us to replace him with a player using that money.

I’m certain the plan with Dave was always to sell him on. It was something of a coup for us when he chose us over Stoke and a decent example of the Trivela model in action.
Only problem is - last season he was decent but not great. I think he’s going to be really good - but we’ll never see it as we sell on before then. Anyway - hope we re-invest wisely and best of luck Big Dave…

I thought big Dave was awful when he first came from Stoke, but he was still a teenager then. He’s improved into a typical lower league CB who’ll put his head and body anywhere, but he has no other unique attributes to distinguish himself unlike Tayls for example
