Dean Smith and John Terry

And taking us to 2nd in the league and to Wembley. Don’t forget those important points too. Probably has something to do with it.

I’ll never forget how much of a mess that final was. Appalling team selection and typical of the soft underbelly we had shown for those 3 years.

Did we finish 2nd?

No he took us there. He didn’t finish it off because a championship side wanted him . Wonder why if he was so ■■■■:thinking::thinking:

Had loads of money at Brentford didn’t he?

And now he’s got the most money in the Championship at Villa so should go straight up

But he wont, because he plays crab football

No? lmao. he had an above average amount of money this season. (And below average the last two).

He would never have got us promoted, you’re in dream world

I don’t know and neither do you. That’s why I’m basing my argument on fact.

Yes, and he managed to build a team and implement a philosophy here with a pittance and a pack of pork scratchings.

You’re ignoring the fact that he had a poor record and his football was VERY boring, particularly at home

Or did you think it was exciting?

Brentford sold a couple of teams worth while he was there. Loads of money by Championship standards? Hilarious.

He implemented a philosophy that was boring.

Yawnarama

they could pass in little triangles and not get very far.

They played for him though, so they must have liked him

I still believe we would have been promoted that season had Dean stayed and finished what he started.understand why he left but was dissapointed all the same due to the club sticking by him through some terrible winless runs we had under his management.just hope he gets the same patience afforded to him by us and then Brentford but i doubt it at the Villa.

No I’m not. In fact I believe we have gone into it at length.

I find football that get’s points entertaining. Once he’d redeveloped the squad and implemented his style of play that is exactly what happened.

That’s subjective though isn’t it. I loved the football under Smith. I loved watching us control games with ease. Many others loved it too.

ok, I’ll answer my question for you.

Yes, it was really boring

We were good away from home though

We had a lot of the ball As we should being the home side) and didn’t do anything with it. Because he was a stubborn ■■■■■■ who wouldn’t change from crab passing, we ultimately became easy to roll over, particularly in the latter stages of home games

I did that perfectly fine myself cheers. I don’t need you getting my opinion wrong, like you do everything else.

Presume you hated the 2015/16 season then up until he left

I am fine with you finding the football boring, that’s subjective. To make out he’s such a bad manager is totally wrong. I admit he had faults but he isn’t this shocking manager you’re making out. You just don’t like the bloke.

You sound like the sort who’d call Sawyers lazy every 5 minutes.

In Smiths last 2 full seasons at Walsall, we only scored 49 goals out of 46 games at home.

It’s pathetic.

No wonder I was bored.

Graydon’s Walsall in his only 2 seasons at the same level, scored 88 goals at home.
