Sadler really needs to find a way of getting more possession of the ball for next season that should be his biggest aim pre season.
He needs to do this for a few reasons firstly if he was to somehow to get out of this league having 30-40 % possession most games it does not help when you reach league 1 whatsoever.
Secondly most supporters will not put up with it especially at home chasing shadows when we should be have be having a fair bit of sustained pressure and entertaining the crowd.
This will go down to the last day of the regular season. We’re still in it, just 3 points off the play-off places.
Division 4 is unpredictable due to the very nature of the teams & players that play in it. All to play for so let’s go for it…
Crawley have hard games, but think Donny now the favourites. We have to win the last three
…. Just glad I’ve secured my Wimbledon tickets, I hope I need ‘em
I thought they were more than happy, especially from their keeper, to knock it long to the ‘big fella’, especially when our pressing was effective.
Difference was that they had someone to make the most of their possession in that position.
Nearly at the end everyone. Safe to say it has been a better season, I have updated the graph to suit actual points tallys. The gap to automatics is quite something. 70 points the current play off target so essentially we need to win the last 3 but that is some ask.
PPG wise it looks a straight fight between Crawley and Doncaster but could all change after Tuesday. Looking at the remaining games between the 3 you’ve got a few interesting sub plots. On Tuesday night Colchester play Grimsby at home which would essentially make them safe if they win. However if they lost or drew it would make Crawley’s game away on the 20th against Sutton United a big one for Sutton United. If Sutton won it could make Colchester’s game against Doncaster a big one on the 23rd. Barrow are the masters of our fate apart from ourselves as they play Crawley and Doncaster on Tuesday and Saturday respectively. I wouldn’t say it’s over but a lot has to happened for Walsall to be 7th. Bring on Swindon…
I think it’s done to be honest. I hope tonight keeps the spark of hope alive.
Overall been a good season. I can always tell how good or bad it’s been by my attendance record.
If we don’t get into the play-offs I’ll have done 35 games this season in all competitions which is about a dozen more than the last couple of seasons where I’ve done around 15 home and 8 away. This season it’s looking like 22 home and 13 away which is a good barometer.
