Couldn’t agree more… the support was phenomenal throughout the game and it’s clear that the players are giving their all for the shirt.
There was a real togetherness with the players after the final whistle… a mutual appreciation for all our efforts.
How a ‘supporter’ can watch that game and then describe us as ‘soft touches’ is stupid.

Re Chang, he travelled in pretty sure he was warming up the GK before the game but obviously not in the squad, so assume he was taken incase if any pre match injuries. He or Hall should be in the squad for me (and Saddler’s explained Hall)

I watched it on television. Your support was wonderful to hear especially as the support for Donny was not great. Lets replicate that on Saturday against our old rivals.

He’s too scared and not brave enough to make changes, only when his hand is forced he will do it
On the team selection, I don’t think it was so bad. The back 5 we could not really quibble about, Allen was OK in midfield and the two front men did a good job, as did our super sub. The only question for me is that we need the midfield to pass better. I like Stirk a lot but he did not pass well last night and was partly to blame for the second goal.

Delighted with the draw and the effort shown by the team.
We have no killer instinct up front. DJ and Sharp were both goalscorers goals.
I have had enough of Stirk. When you think of the role of a central midfielder and how many minutes he has played this year - his overall contribution should be higher. His “attempt” to tackle the guy who crossed for their second and his “attempt” to block the cross were criminal. There has to be a better option - we need 11 men firing on all cylinders against Vale and we dont have that with Stirk at the moment.
Matt was strangely ineffective tonight also bar his shot just prior to our equaliser. Every goal kick just came straight back to us. He won very little.
Allens header was superb - he placed it perfectly away from the keeper.
Would have liked to see subs earlier and go for the win rather than go for a draw then make a couple of panic subs at the end which, fortunately for us, worked.
UP THE SADDLERS

Not a dig, but if you were there you would have felt the connection between us all there. Big difference from watching it on the box.
It felt like a shift. It was a brilliant performance. Yes we shuda been out of site, but those boys never gave up.

This is my feeling too, the performances have picked up in recent weeks and they’re out there fighting. Whilst we’re still not picking up the wins we’d like it’s far more promising at the moment. Still need more composure in the final third but should have Hall and Harrison back soon to hopefully help there.
I’ve also seen the run in for the top few sides this morning too, after Saturday ours is on paper the best and very tough to Bradford and Donny in particular. Not to mention we still have superior GD.
FWIW - Been absolutely loving Asimwe’s performances, think he’s very solid both ways, good with both feet, comfortable on the ball and his delivery is almost always on point. Shame he’s not ours!

Sadler has now clarified that Blues are managing Hall’s game time. Obviously don’t want him overdoing it. Hopefully he can get some minutes on the pitch on Saturday and the following week. May not be allowed to play in both Easter games. We’ll see. Bty our mutual friend sends his best wishes. Saw him briefly yesterday. He is off to France and Germany tomorrow but back for the Harrogate game so will see him at that one. Hope you are keeping well and coping with the stress!

Don’t think fellow fans deserve to be labelled clowns because they have a different opinion than yourself smacks of arrogance again .although I do tend to agree DJ right sub right time in right situation.

Interesting change of view.
Absolutely buzzing after last night our performances are improving and the grit and determination the players are showing not to lose is incredible.
Dont know if anybody noticed but after we went 2-1 down Daniels jumped from his seat and went in the technical area and got the lads going again you could see the passion in him and the players were encouraged by this. The togetherness in the club will get us over the line. We just need to keep backing them like we did last night atmosphere was electric. And for those that left when we went 2-1 down give your head a wobble and I’m glad the players dont have the same mentality.
It feels great being involved in games like this, we have 6 more to go everyone a cup final. Its what being a football fan is all about. Its going to be a roller coaster of emotion but id take that than being in mid table with each game being a tick the box exercise waiting for the season to finish so we can reset again.
On the game…
A great specticle with an electric atmosphere played in a fitting arena.
Bring on the Vale.

Just watched clip taken from behind the goal of Billy Sharp’s crafty touch into the net. He’s still, infuriatingly, got talent for a 39 year old. Don’t want to be too harsh on Big Dave but it looked he could have covered that off before it drops to Sharp, but stopped tracking.

I honestly thought we were much the better team last night and it looked like the saddlers of a few months ago.
I do think there’s a reasonable argument that changes ought to be earlier and Stirk was well off it but we’re top and you can’t really be too critical. Yes we need a win but we just have to be doing our bit.

I wonder if the logic for Blues is why would you risk overplaying Hall fresh back from injury when we’ve lent you Chang and he can’t get a kick…

Cheers Timiwhites. Coming up for Vale on Saturday and can’t wait! It’s been a tough couple of months yet somehow we’re still top. The performance last night suggests we’re starting to turn a corner. We can do this.

…but we won’t ‘draw our way to promotion’, we’ll run out of games and finish on 78 points, which won’t be enough.
Last night was a much better performance - the lads all put in 100% effort and the supporters were fantastic (as per usual). However, we absolutely need to find a win or two from somewhere, and we seem no closer to that even with the last few better performances.
Instead of digging deep and being mentally strong to get ourselves back level, we need to be positive and take the game by the scruff of the neck from the very start. This requires a different mentality - both on the pitch and in the dug out - and I really fear that we’ve lost this.
More of a lurker than a poster but I absolutely loved that last night.
A much improved performance for me and an enjoyable game on the whole I thought. Fair play to Sadler for his team selection which I feel paid off in the main. Although I don’t hate the style of football as much as some, it was nice to see us string a few passes together more than once. As said by many, the fans were excellent (other than the daft ‘Sadler make a sub’ chant). Sat at work and keep thinking of the DJ goal and all of the players and staff at the end and smiling to myself.
Although I’m a Stirk fan, he was very wasteful on the ball, first half especially. Do think some of the summaries of his performance have been OTT on here though (shock). He could be playing on crutches and I’d still have him on the pitch ahead of Comley.
Already looking forward to Saturday As much as I’ve been brought up to detest Vale, I’d probably take a point if offered. Still top whatever happens with Bradford and with a favourable run in compared to everyone else. Bring it on.

MS has had a lot of comments about changes and subs and it’s definetly a point for discussion and I can see arguments on both sides tbh
But can we.give him the credit of using Weir Gordon and Allen down our left side, majority of Donny’s previous goals have come from that side and whilst it’s true Moylinex scored from that side (just to prove the threat) in the whole that move worked a treat and went a long way to getting us a result imho
