That’s right it hasn’t happened
I’m going up straight from work
No it isn’t but it’d get us over the line in 3rd. And that’s assuming everyone else continues their whole season average.
If we and Bradford, Vale and donny perform as we have for the last7 (8 for Donny) for the final 7 we’re screwed.
We need to turn 2 draws into wins, one win might do it but 2 would for sure, preferably tonight and Saturday.
I didn’t say we dominated possession, I said we defended higher up the pitch.
I don’t think Jamma’s level of performance has dropped significantly since Lowe left, but his effectiveness has because of the people around him.
I don’t get all this criticism of Matt. Just listen to opposition managers. They recognise his importance and sometimes put two men on him . Yes he battles with CBs but that is his job. It is the other players who need to have the nous to use the space he creates . Only Harrison has come anywhere near the level of Lowe but Wheatley might be able to do a similar job to Lowe . I don’t think he has played very much with Matt.
If Harrison is not fit tonight I would try Wheatley with Amantchi to come on later if fit.

That would be my side tonight. I’d be brave and back fresh, young legs.
When Lowe was here, and we were winning matches, he was getting most of the attention from the opposition managers and defenders.
Now they are concentrating on Matt, and in my opinion, they are dealing with him pretty effectively.
I’d be tempted to give young Ethan Wheatley his big chance tonight, he’s been waiting patiently for some time now and I get a feeling tonight might be his time to shine and show his Man U quality.
I don’t think it’s the just the strike partner that’s the issue. Matt has been far more isolated in the last few months because we’ve been less energetic in supporting the forwards from central midfield and won a lot less second ball.
At his/our best this season he’s been great at holding the ball and bringing others into play, but like many things it just feels more laboured and managable for the opposition.
I would start Barrett after the rest he’s had and see if he can produce what he was earlier in the season. Other than that I agree with the rest.
In my initial post i definitely wasn’t criticising Jamma i just don’t understand the constant hoof ball to him. I get it now and again but we can play through the thirds more and create space that way for our other forwards and midfielders. I believe you could do that with Stirky, Hally and one of Alfie / JJ. Mat won’t do that of course. We also need to keep our wingbacks as high up the pitch as possible…Jamma would get more chances that way. Just my opinion of course
I get the hoof up to jamma now and again mate as it relieves pressure and can create space for others. We need to vary it more though definitely and play through the thirds. We have got the players to do it.
My Starting Line Up for tonight:
Hornby
Barrett
Mcentee
Williams
Allen
Gordon
Stirk
Jellis
Chang (Hall not ready for a start)
Matt
Harrison if fit (if not Amantchi)
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stirk and Comley start with Jellis behind the front two.
Personally, I’d go for:
Simkin
Mcentee
Dave
Allen
Barrett
Gordon
Chang
Stirk
Jellis
Levi
Matt
Although his influence was telling on Saturday, and however badly I’d like to see him start, the sensible approach for me is to keep Hall on the bench. If he would have been available just a few weeks before then I suspect we’d have a few more points on the board but I’d much rather he be available from now until the end of the season rather than risk throwing him straight back in with the potential of him picking up a recurrence, especially with the amount of games in quick succession. I think bench tonight with the possibility of a start on Saturday
I agree totally, Phil. We just don’t look like scoring from open play, let alone winning! We need to try something different upfront - we could with some pace over the top - I was hoping that Wheatley would be fit so that we could give him a go. If he isn’t, I would play the following team in a 3-4-2-1 formation:
Hornby - Asiimwe- McEntee; Okagbue, Allen - Gordon - Comley; Stirk - Jellis; Adomah - Matt.
Subs: Simkin - Weir, Barrett, Daniels, Hall, Amantchi, Johnson.
I believe it’s a big pitch. I would tell Asiimwe and Gordon, Jellis and Adomah to press high and empty the tank- we can replace with Weir, Barrett, Hall and Amantchi after around 65 minutes. This formation should also allow us to play more through the midfield, instead of just lumping long balls to Matt. We could even try to get Jellis and Adomah in behind Doncaster - I know it’s revolutionary, but it might just work!! Play the same formation as Saturday and we are unlikely to score, let alone win!! UTS.
He wont but I’d like to see Chang and Hall start, think Jellis needs dropping.

Albert and Comley? We might as well pack up and go home now.
Others picking Williams, he’s clearly off in the summer and isn’t putting himself about like he was earlier in the season. Imo, Sadler picked up on it too. I’d be very surprised if we see him again.
Agree, and if we wasn’t playing Donny and Vale I’d be more confident.
Donny will treat this as a cup final tonight, it’s going to be tough!
Hope I’m wrong again I was Saturday, but I’m going for 3-0 loss can’t see us scoring sorry
